Dear Palin and Trump: Stop Whining. Thank You.
Right Across The Atlantic ^ | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 04/20/2011 10:46:08 AM PDT by Michael van der Galien

Sarah Palin, the former governor of Alaska, believes Donald Trump is being treated unfairly by the mainstream media. Politico reports that she especially takes issue with the MSM’s obsession with the ‘birther issue.’

Palin, who’s been trading kind words with Trump in recent days, said on Fox News that the real estate mogul isn’t pushing the birther issue and would talk about more substantial issues — if only the press would let him. Reporters, she said, are “hammering [Trump] about the one issue that he has brought up and not been shy about — that’s the birth certificate. … He’s answering reporters’ questions about his view on the birth certificate. And reporters turn that around and say that’s all he’s got.

Although Palin is obviously right that the media love to focus on this kind of thing, not they but Trump himself is to blame for the coverage he receives. If Trump is half as smart as he seems to believe, he’d simply start talking about other subjects, no matter the actual question asked.

Let’s imagine a reporter asks: “Tell us about the birth certificate.” Instead of giving the reporter what he wants, Trump could say: “Oh, I’d rather talk about the deficit. You see, Obama’s running this country into the ground” etc. yada yada yada. It’s not that difficult to do. Heck, professional politicians do it all the time.

I understand it that Palin, Trump and other Republicans believe the media are biased (because, well, they are), but it’s time for them to stop nagging about it. Yes mainstream reporters support progressive politicians. And yes, they’ll do everything in their power to hurt a conservative candidate’s chances.

Trump’s running interference so Palin is smart enough to tuck right in behind and hang onto the ball. I hope Trump actually announces and runs just so he can keep up the ghetto beatdown on Barry.

OBVIOUSLY I GOT YOUR PANTIES IN WAD...

You are just like the heavy left media that gets all upset when you Conservatives want to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States by asking for Obama’s birth certificate. We are either a nation of laws or we are not.

Yes, because Trump’s numbers are in the tank, as are Palin’s. /sarc

What they really should do is stay above the fray and not respond. After all, that worked so well for GW Bush. /double sarc

Congratulations. In #42, you have both admitted I was right AND that I was the one paying attention.

Well done, and thank you for changing your opinion and your tone.

I think Palin and Trump have been defining the opponent, it's just that some people view their efforts to define as "whining". Pointing out that there are obvious holes (large enough to drive a truck through) in a person's biography is not whining. Declaring that, "to the victor goes the spoils" is not whining and last (but certainly not least) making observations about the lack of common sense within the current administration, the lack of desire for said administration to do what's best for Americans and America and the failure of that administration to recognize America's exceptionalism is most certainly NOT whining.

Really good advice, for the current occupant of the WH.

They aren’t whining. They are merely stating the facts and there are still many out there who are dull of hearing.

Michael van der Galien should put on his big-boy pants and stop letting his mom dress him in little girl panties! So the next time she asks him to step into those flowery panties, Michael van der Galien should just say, “actually, I’d rather wear those boxers...”

Now, as silly as that is, I have no idea if your mom still dresses you. Just like you *CLEARLY* have no idea if Palin has ever “whined” about anything. There may have been daft wankers like yourself who whined *for* her, but I doubt very seriously you could point to any instance where Palin “whined” about anything.

I see what you are trying to do — urge conservatives to take charge of the narrative — but your mistake was calling the two biggest non-whiners, whiners. Scrap that miserable, indefensible little bloglet and start over. Next time, use Boehner or Graham or one of those spineless jokers and you just might be able to defend your meme.

Ready? Go!

True, but then he shouldn’t whine that this is what they’re focusing on. You can’t have your cake and eat it too; that goes even for someone like Donald Trump.

I haven't heard Trump whine about his press coverage. The article was about Palins comments concerning the medias coverage of Trump.

Mrs Palin and Mr Trump hardly need advice from a blogger. They are out there defending conservative ideals and speaking out against injustices.
Methinks it is the blogger doing the whining.

Michael, Bush spent 8 YEARS imitating a punching bag, and the bullies were simply encouraged. Perhaps you are a milquetoast guy who longs for those days? I WANT someone who is feisty.

If only we could transplant Palin’s conservatism into Trump’s brain, we’d have the perfect candidate.

Palin can “whine” all she wants.

It’s her ear-shattering, hysterical shrieking that I can’t handle.

Quit your whining? Are you an American Citizen? If not stfu!

Transcript from Rush Limbaugh:

RUSH: "Okay, gonna try to get Trump on one day this week. We should be able to do that. Actually, you know, I think Trump might actually be the real illegal alien here. I mean, you say what you will, but he is once again actually doing a job that most Americans wouldn't touch. He fits the bill in that regard."

My response is on intentional par with your writing and thought processes, which I've had the unfortunate opportunity to observe.

Take a hike, loser.

If you live here and wish to see the Constitution which is our foundation of our rule of law protected and preserved in the face of the greatest constitutional fraud in our history, it is much apprecited that someone actually has the courage to confront the fraud perpetrated against it, particularly when so many who swore an oath to protect and preserve it have avoided doing so. It is difficult to see what harm we can suffer from someone exposing the attack upon the constitutional rule of law that the man Soetoro a/k/a Obama has perpetrated.
