At 1:00 a.m. EST S&P 500 Index futures were trading up 0.8% at 1370.
The news of bin Laden’s demise is symbolically huge and hopefully it is also a strategic game-changer, too.

The dollar has weakened from 1.481 to 1.485 quite the opposite to what the headline claims. When stocks go up the dollar goes down and vice versa.

Silver was down yesterday - I remember reading threads of people trying to figure it out. No announcement had been made.
Well if Pakastani double dealing concerning Osama has been true...then we need to entirely destroy their nuclear weapons caches or at the very least stop giving them aid.
