my 13 year old Daughter’s final comment on it was “Things would have be a lot different for us if Stonewall hadn’t been shot at Chancellorsville.” The “us” rolled off her tongue like she was talking about something that happened last week to her volleyball team.

Had the rebs won the war, she'd probably be speaking Russian or German and have pictures of Robert E. Lee and Lenin in her classroom. The USA had to win the Civil War to keep the old world and its evils out of our land.

If it’s any consolation, in a divided America, Yankeeland would be subject to the same Old World evils as Dixie. A united nation dominating the Western Hemisphere is the greatest guarantee of American peace and freedom.

I own my own home in southern NJ. It’s single-family ranch on a 75 by 150 ft lot valued at 200k. I’m eight miles from the coast. My late mother and father bought a 4 bedroom Victorian in northern NJ on a 75 by 100 ft lot in 1958 for 14,000. They sold it in 1986 for 150,000. Is your wife’ dog worth that much?s I’d moved out ten years earlier. If you want to inquire about what it’s worth now it’s located in Kearny, NJ. The town I grew up in by the way. Named for it’s most famous son, General Philip J. Keanry, Hero of the Wilderness.

Could you be more specific?

McCain considered becoming a Democrat after losing the primary to Bush. If a guy is willing to totally change his core beliefs over losing a primary, then he never had any political convictions in the first place and would have done whatever the Dems told him to do. As bad, no, just about as bad, yes. Electing McCain and then having him do most of the same things as Obama would've been the end of the Republican Party. It was McCain that attacked free speech with Campaign Finance Reform remember. CFR is in the same league as Obamacare.

I submit to you that if McCain were president there wouldn't be 0bamaCare and our vice-president would be a billion times better than the bozo currently occupying that spot. Just those two items alone are enough to render your statement totally absurd.

McCain would not have let Sarah do anything but attend funerals. McCain would have done whatever his "friends" across the aisle and the media would have told him.

You assert that the loser is always evil but we know that isn’t true by any stretch.

Can you pass that along to your friend, jmacusa? He spent quite some time recently, trying to convince me that ‘’Yeah, might DOES make right’’ (http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/bloggers/2705748/posts?page=111#127). I think he's stumbling around here somewhere...

Strange - I'm getting this mental picture of a kids' show host (Mr. Rogers, maybe?), pushing a wheelbarrow full of comic books down main street, while playing John Brown's Body on a kazoo...

Once again I'll ask you to look at any election map from the past 50 years and keep in mind the direction that the northeast has taken politically and socially. Once you've done that and, if you're being intellectually honest, you can only conclude that, without the South, the northeast would be a communist dictatorship today.

You said it pal, not me.

The 6 out of 10 that I'm talking about are the Southerners that don't agree with the Confederacy, pal.

You know, the blacks, the yankee NEA indoctrinated youts, the liberal yankees from the northeast that now claim to be 'Southern', etc. IOW, the ones taking handouts from your federal gubmint.

In other words, in your opinion, you may as well waste a vote on a party that garnered all of 1% of the popular vote because McCain/Palin are no better than 0bama/Biden.

You're a real piece of work.......

What does it matter about the degree of 'better' that posted since you were willing to waste a vote and help put 0bama and his marxist regime in power?

And because you wasted a vote you obviously thought that McCain was NO better than 0bama in you warped view.
