Given the news this week regarding the President's speech and Israel, and the Israeli Prime Minister's visit to our country, I'm interested in the reaction of Jewish Americans to these events.
Obama enjoyed an 80% support from Jewish voters in this country in the last election. Will he enjoy the same support in 2012?
What are Jewish American leaders saying about the President's position on the Arab - Israeli Peace talks?
What are you hearing in your local communities? Are your neighbors concerned?
Are American Jews worried about the future of the Jewish State, given the President's policies in the Middle East?
My boss, who is a Jew, finally stated today that barry is a mooslim. He, nor anyone in his family voted for barry (he said he “threw” his vote away).
But for these past few years I’ve been trying to convince him that barry is an evil mooslim usurper. He’s almost there.....
He was not a happy man today.
AM YISRAEL CHAI
The ones I hang out with have expected behavior like this since before he was nominated. Disappointed, but not at all surprised. These are observant Jews, though. We’ve read the Book, so we know there’s a happy ending in store. Obviously we’re concerned for our friends in Israel nonetheless.
Me, too.
Interested in the reaction, given Obama’s speech this week...weird.
Hmm looking for a way to help Obama’s ‘image’?
I will always do my best to help the Jewish people and stand up for them even fight with them if necessary..
Then we gotta go shopping somewhere because she's got special coupons that are going to expire.
It’s “Please eat me last.”

“Thou shall have no gods before Me” - says the Lord. This commandment should speak to both liberals & conservatives who place their political views above God’s will. If liberalism or conservatism is your god, your are in rebellion against the Almighty. Let me tell you, there’s no future in that.
Would be very interesting to know what the general reaction to Obama's speech is among the American Jewish community.
Especially among those who voted for Obama.
They feel they didn’t make enough nice with the Nazis in Germany. They made nice with the Communists in Russia and fared pretty well except for the ones that insisted on retaining their identity. Totalitarians cannot abide with anyone or any group that has any hint of loyalty or identity with anything that is not the totalitarians, thus their fanatic antipathy to religion and to ancient identities.
I read your entire post and I couldn't agree more.
Your assuming that Jews weren't attracted to communism. The sad truth is a very large number were. The association between secular Jews and marxism, particularly prior to the collapse of Soviet socialism, was quite strong.
Most American Jews still value their secular progressive agenda more than they do the well being of Israel. Obama will get between 70-80% of the Jewish vote almost no matter what he does.
The Jewish vote is not worth chasing. Conservatives will never get it. Some outreach to the Jewish community is fine, but we've got to have very low expectations because this voting block is about as hopeless as the blacks.
Regarding “AM YISRAEL CHAI”, I happened upon this the other day, and thought it was amazing:

Jewish Freepers????????????? What is that, an extinct species?????????? Jews vote Lib 99%. THEY WILL NEVER VOTE CONSERVATIVE!!! EVER! I guess we have the 1%.
What amazes me is that Ed Koch is still alive
This is Stockholm Syndrome. Possibly to take place here in the US some day.
