National Debt Politics : How Obama sees the voter as stupid
sickoflibs rant | July 25, 2011 | sickoflibs

Posted on 07/25/2011 7:22:23 PM PDT by sickoflibs

First let’s cut through the ‘big budget deal’ Obama smoke screen. Obama’s original demand to Republicans months ago was a debt limit increase that is big enough (~ 3 trillion $) to get him through his presidential election, with NO budget cuts. And that is his only demand still: a huge debt increase that is clean of budget cuts. So his 'big deal debt/budget negotiations were a shame and the trillions in budget cuts he claimed he offered never existed because his own congressional leaders told them they were DOA which is why he killed the ‘big deal’ last week. They were all cynical acts of political posturing to try to get what he always demanded with your support: his demand for a huge debt limit increase with no ‘real’ spending cuts that he will blame on Republicans anyway (for the debt) for when he runs for re-election. Obama thinks you are stupid enough to believe what he says, not what he does.

So how does Obama see voters?

They will believe he was serious about his endless hope for a ‘big deal’ debt negotiations that he poisoned from the start with demands for tax increases, while he kept this sham up for months telling you over and over how he hopes for them and he is still talking as if it is a possibility.

They will expect Republicans (the new Republican House) to help him (Obama) raise taxes to pay for continued government spending when Democrats themselves wouldn’t do it when they had exclusive control of congress and the White House, and it could not be blocked by Republicans. They wouldn’t raise taxes themselves for two years in 2009-2010 when they would have got the blame for its results because they wouldnt need Republican votes, yet they want you to believe that raising taxes is what set off the 1990s economic boom.

They will believe that Obama put trillions of dollars of spending cuts on the table when he couldn’t even cite one when asked in one of his many press conferences.

They will believe that the party that added $3T of national debt in two years when they had a ‘block proof’ majority is serious about reducing the deficit now, and that the debt they ran up was inherited from GWBush.

They will believe that Republicans ‘lines in the sand’ like not raising taxes is putting politics ahead of the nation, BUT Obama threatening to put this nation in financial default by vetoing a debt extension that isn’t large enough to take him past his re-election without another vote/debate, is putting the nation ahead of politics.

They will believe that just because he keeps saying ‘everyone should put politics aside’ in his regular press conferences while complaining about Republicans in them to get the upper political hand, that he is actually ‘putting politics aside’.

They will believe that Social Security doesn’t add ‘one dime’ to the national debt, but a delay in extending the nation’s borrowing will hold up social security payments.

Yet, Obama is now supporting the Reid cut only bill, after his speech demanding tax increases.

He’s in a time warp. The world passed him by over the weekend and he didn’t even notice.

I am not yet convinced the voter is smart enough to figure out what Obama is up to. I hope they are. I hope tonight’s speech was a big mistake for Obama.

Stupid is as stupid does:
Cash for clunkers didn’t work
Stimulus didn’t work
No Olympics for Chicago
Obamacare is so complicated no employer can plan on costs
the list goes on and on

More Government debt = more inflation.
Want 5$/gal gas then raise the debt limit

Obama is as close to a moron as I have ever seen for a graduate of Harvard Law School. I applied there with a 3.7 GPA, in Boston College’s Undergraduate Honors Program...... reject in the first round. I got accepted into HBS....left after one semester ;-)

Hopefully this 'moron' wont get re-elected, I am still not so sure. He only needs a few million moron voters in critical swing states, the ones here in MD are safe.

--------------------------

I agree sickoflibs, but conservatives are wide awake.

I AGREE WITH THAT

These DC clowns want to keep spending. Reid would use his $2.7 trillion in named 'savings' to raise the debt ceiling through 2013. Add another trillion in borrowing! Congress won't change its profligate ways until its hands are tied by a constitutional amendment.

Obama football_3
Barry -- It's not my default!

With accounting tricks these guys aren't paying down, the national debt. They're trying to find ways to agree on maintaining the status quo. Most importantly, it removes the cloud of a possible default from our economy through the 2012 election.

The jackwagon president had to cancel two fundraisers scheduled for tonight (Monday, July 25, 2011).

Obama bamboozled millions... gave them the old 'okee doke double-speak.'

Eff'n commie.

Countdown until Obama leaves Office: 544 days as of July 25, 2011.

The Kenyan and his masters really have one goal in mind. For zero to somehow be re-elected for a second term.

Self admitted Marxists ??? Probably smart. At least they believe in something unlike the clueless middle that worships 'compromise', 'secret deals' and believes the MSM.

The voters left Obama a year ago over porkulus and health scam and the recession. The GOP ascension last Nov. proved that. Those voters aren’t coming back. They’ve seen through him.

a lot of them are in sort of a limbo. They’re not 100% sold on the GOP approach, but they’re done with The One.

Thanks sickoflibs. Gullible, maybe. Racists, definitely. But not all of his supporters are stupid.
