Air Force Staff Sergeant Refusing Orders Until Obama's Eligibility Dealt With
Birther Report ^ | Aug.13,2011

Posted on 08/14/2011 1:58:41 PM PDT by charlene4

Here is the email from Air Force Staff Sergeant Moran,

My name is Daryn J. Moran. I am a SSgt in the USAF stationed in Germany.

I called Pastor Manning of the Manning Report just recently (Youtube video posted below) to share my concern for our country. Boils down that I have not gone in to work last Thurs. and Fri. First time I was AWOL in nearly 13 years. Until B. Obama provides a birth certificate which stands up to professional examination, not even mentioning the seriousness of the fact that his father was never an American, I no longer serve the Armed Forces or take orders.

Basically, I'd rather follow Mr. Lakin, the ex-Army officer who went to Ft. Leavenworth, into war against our real enemies.

My family is in turmoil because I cannot change my heart to support Obama, or protect his criminality. I love America and the Constitution and stand against B. Obama. He should be arrested.

This is a stupid move. He just killed his pension and will spend time in jail. Not a bright way to protest.

It is not the job of NCOs to determine who is eligible to be President. All 50 states accept him as such, the Congress accepts him as such (all 535 members - there were no objections made) and the US Supreme Court accepts him as such.

If someone has PROOF he was born in Kenya, it would be a whole different ballgame. Until then, the military needs to accept civilian rule - and all 3 branches of the government and all 50 states accept that Obama is President.

Maybe someone can get this to the attention of Ron Paul?

His recent success in the straw poll might give him an audience to bring some pressure on the congress to do something about this!

Perry, too, but I am worried that he is just another establishment flunky. I could be wrong about him, and am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. If Perry would take a stand on this issue, it would go a long way to convince some of us fence-sitters that he is the real deal.

Just a disappointed citizen here, who is losing hope because of the change.

Ron Paul could have objected in Jan 2009. He did not. It is a bit late now...

You forget that there are numerous legal cases slowly traveling through the legal process. He using the power of his office to impede these cases almost as well as Slick Willie did.
As a former military man with 27 years service, I took an oath to PROTECT AND DEFEND THE U.S.CONSTITUTION AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. He is demanding that the S.O.B show proof he meets Article II Section 1 clause 5 of the constitution.

Only way this will make a difference is if thousands of officers do the same thing.

Since as you say, you took an oath to “PROTECT AND DEFEND THE U.S.CONSTITUTION AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC,”

what are you going to do about Hussein?

Beat your chest?

The so-called ‘eligibility’ question is so irrelevant, at this remove ... The time to address it expired with the election. From then on, the issue resided solely with the Congress and they refused to even take it up.

Lawless service members immolating themselves so uselessly ( a la Lakin and this one ) while they may inspire SOME to admiration, are hardly acting in the best interests of ANYONE — themselves, their families, their Services, their Country.

In the end, these individuals may garner a lot of attention and emotional or sentimental admiration, but their actions do NOTHING to further any worthwhile cause.

Another responder used the term ‘attention whore’. I’d second that sentiment.

There is no ‘win’ for anybody in prolonging this ‘eligibility’ nonsense. The time to act was BEFORE Imam Hussein was elected. Now, our only recourse, barring a sudden eruption of ‘due diligence’ on the part of a ‘do-nothing helpful’ Congress, is to assure the Imam doesn’t get yet another term.

Exactly. The ones encouraging this action would likely encourage a military coup to remove Obama from office. They claim respect for the Constitution while encouraging the military to ignore it when it suits their purpose. Pathetic.

I haven’t forgotten the legal cases. I haven’t forgotten that NONE of them have gone anywhere. I haven’t forgotten that the US Supreme Court had the chance to take a case prior to Obama being sworn in, and did not do so. I haven’t forgotten Lakin, and how that turned out.

I’m former military with 25 years, and I remember having a couple of enlisted in the Navy squadron I was then attached to (I was USAF) trying to refuse orders based on GWB being ‘selected, not elected’. In the end, facing prison time, they complied with orders.

This guy will end up in prison if he doesn’t change his tune ASAP. And no one at WorldNutDaily will be doing time with him...just ask Mr Lakin.

Dumb move on his part. He will lose and his story will end here. A big chicken dinner just isn't worth it.

Damn the charlatans who incite this type of behavior while comfortably remaining on the sidelines cheering them on.

I wonder if there is a generational difference between those of us upset at the lack of transparency by Obama, and those of you who do not seem concerned about it.

For whatever it is worth, I went to school starting back in the late 40s, through the 50s, and entered college in the very early 60s.

I was taught “civics”, not social studies, and had to take courses in English and American History. Others of my generation probably did the same, and therefore are much more worried about what we see going on in D.C.

My children, who grew up with Social Studies seem to be blasé about the whole issue. They just focus on their work and family, and ignore what is going on politically. They feel they can’t do much about it, so why worry.

I want to get along with them, so try not to be a nagging mom about the deterioration of our culture, cities, civil discourse, and economy. They don’t want to hear it, even thought they are good citizens, and conservative in their values. They just seem pragmatic about it all.

Should be the response of everyone serving in the military. I’m very thankful for him and Lt Col. Lakin.

I'm with you! Courage is what is needed!

My theory: All those cheering this guy (who is probably a good guy) should refuse to pay their taxes. Why? Because an invalid President signed the tax laws.

They then can go to court for refusing to obey laws made by an invalid President, and see how far it will get them.

“Yeah, and if millions did this the whole corrupt system would collapse!” < / sarcasm >

Daryn J. Moran, I’m really sorry that your mom and dad were not all that good at spelling.

And lucky for you, your new place of residence will be the brand new Joint Regional Correctional Facility (JRCF).

Place looks very swanky, with your own 80 sg. ft. condo with ample natural light as well as a writing surface, a “sleeping surface,” “adequate storage space” and “Bradlwy” Manning as a neighbor.
