Rush: Obama Setting Up Country For Riots
Reaganite Republican ^ | October 11, 2011 | Reaganite Republican

As we hear who's behind OWS..

The next question is 'why?'

As is so often the case, Rushbo has some answers:
"This thing just didn't bubble up out of nothing. We now find out George Soros money is behind this, and there's no doubt in my mind that the White House is behind this.

I wish I could tell you who, but a very prominent person asked me to never mention his name in this regard, but for months he has been telling me, "You watch, Rush, do not doubt me," he said to me, "Obama is setting up riots. He is fanning the flames for riots and eventual violence. That's all he's got."

And now you look, all of this talk about millionaires and billionaires and people not paying their fair share and this relentless assault on achievement in this country has resulted in what? The appearance of a spontaneous combustion of angry white college students who are fed up with all the injustices that this country is famous for. That's his base. Occupy Wall Street is his base. Those are his foot soldiers. The anarchists, the union thugs who are occupying Wall Street, Obama is now going to run for reelection against Wall Street, and all of these schlubs in this protest march don't understand that Wall Street and Obama are inseparable.

New York legislators are getting death threats now if they don't tax the millionaires, and my very prescient friend wanted me to say this on the air, wanted me to warn people. "I'm not gonna say that. I'm not gonna predict the president of the United States wants riots," but he was a very, very, very prominent individual; and we're on the verge of it here.  ... But all these people down there occupying Wall Street, this is his base -- and he admitted it! He expressed his solidarity, 'cause those are his campaign foot soldiers down there. He can't turn his back on them this close to the elections... ... It's just the Twilight Zone, alternate universe."

But not to worry, Dear Leader's all ready to keep a lid on any trouble those TEA Party facists might try to bring to
rightfully enraged class warriors:

Then there's those unsettling FEMA camps...

Because that worked soooo well for Democrats back in the 1960s, why not try it again?

Riots provoke a conservative "law and order" backlash, and Obama doesn't want that anymore than Johnson and Humphrey did.

I guess the fantasy is that a president of the other party always wants to suspend the elections and declare martial law, but none of them ever do.

Here's the thing: politicians like to be in the news; they like being famous; they like wielding some power; but they don't really want to hold office and power forever, if it means forever expecting revolution or assassination.

Most of them have adapted to the fact that they will be voted out or forced to leave by term limits, but even if they haven't, they get sick of the headaches and worries and don't want to rule permanently.

YOu might consider doing your own homework rather posting the odd question on a webiste...

It would take a declaration of a National Emergency by the President, backed by Congress to suspend the Posse Comitatus Act (18 USC &1835

The Act prohibits members of the Army from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain “law and order” on non-federal property (states and their counties and municipal divisions) within the United States.

Further - The statute prohibits Army and Air Force personnel and units of the National Guard under federal authority from acting in a law enforcement capacity within the United States, except where expressly authorized by the Constitution or Congress. The Navy and Marine Corps are prohibited by a Department of Defense directive, not by the Act itself.

The maintenance of peace, conduct of orderly elections, and prosecution of unlawful actions are all state responsibilities, pursuant to the states’ primary job of exercising police power and maintaining law and order.

And again, in 1976 the National Emergencies Act set a limit of two years on emergency declarations unless the president explicitly extends them, and requires the president to specify in advance which legal provisions will be invoked.

However -once a State of Emergency has been declared, and sustained by a legal quorum in Congress - well then, the gloves can come off.

All legal and scary as hell - yes?

Rush is begining to sound a lot like Beck recently.

That's a bad sign. Rush is more hesitant to make predictions that might not happen. Be ready.

Let’s be honest, no matter what they tell Obama, he does not get anywhere near the real nuclear football.

There is no way.

I believe the national emergency has been extended every year since 9/11 by Bush and Obama.

He’s a community organizer. Starting riots is what he does. Why is this a surprise?

Glenn is a great teacher too...but he knows nothing about politics and is not a Reagan conservative. He has a good staff who does his research.

Coincidentally, politics will solve 0 of our problems and we dont need a Reagan conservative - we need George Washington. So in the end, Glenn is still light years ahead of Rush.

Obviously if the uber-peaceloving, tolerant, down-trodden progressives go on an ethnic and class hate based riot spree against their Zionist/capitalist overlords, it will be the evil Republicans and Tea Partiers who are to blame, requiring draconian new state control and taxation of the populace.

That’s your opinion. No way is Glenn light years ahead of Rush who has been at this for twenty some years.. What I want to listen to are talk show hosts who “get it” and stand strong for first principles and core Conservatism. Michael Savage probably qualifies too.
Beck’s listeners faded because he tried to cover too many topics at a fever pitch intensity that failed to capture their interest.
Listen to Levin as compared to Beck, Dick. You might learn something.

Some do. Don't think for a second that Barry the Boob wouldn't do it.

Well, I shouldn't have implied that politicians never seize power for themselves. But most of those guys you name never really participated in day to day politics, serving in a legislature, getting bills passed, putting in time towards a pension.

Some of the dictators you name were revolutionaries who seized power. Others were charismatic movement leaders who disdained the ordinary life of politics and politicians.

Maybe Obama looks like somebody from that second group to you. But to me he looks like just another politician, a little more conceited than the others, but not somebody who's going to impose a dictatorship.

I believed Clinton was ready to seize power. Other people believed Bush was. Neither did. By this point, I'm tired of the Chicken Little "the sky is falling" routine.
