Rep. Trey Gowdy from South Carolina asks Janet Napolitano questions concerning “gunwalking” and “fast and furious”.

You can draw your own conclusions as I have about her testimony. North Carolina deserves representatives and senators in Congress who are able to be on the same level as Rep. Gowdy. Once again, South Carolina is leading the nation by example.

He was born in 1964 in Greenville, South Carolina to Dr. and Mrs. Harold Gowdy.[1] Trey graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1982. He earned a B.A. in history from Baylor University in 1986 and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1989.

He then went into private practice before becoming a federal prosecutor in April of 1994. He was awarded the Postal Inspector’s Award for the successful prosecution of J. Mark Allen, one of “America’s Most Wanted” suspects.

In February of 2000, he left the United States Attorney’s Office to run for 7th Circuit Solicitor. He defeated incumbent Solicitor Holman Gossett[2] in the Republican primary. No other party even put up a candidate, ensuring his election in November. He was reelected in 2004 and 2008, both times completely unopposed. During his tenure, he appeared on “Forensic Files” twice, as well as Dateline NBC and SCETV.[3]

First off, this guy is really kicking some butt. He brings up the issues that I have had since this case came to light. Any operation that allows any contraband or money to purposely leave the plausible control of law enforcement, where interdiction of that contraband would be in doubt, is totally f#$%'d up. When you set up an operation like that and the contraband is going to knowingly cross the border then you need approval from Dept of State, even if you are in direct communication with authorities on the other side.

Some of the other testimony today made it sound like ICE either interdicted or was in a position to interdict some of these weapons and then were told by the AUSA to back off. It got to the point where the heads of ICE in that area went up their chain with an interrogative WTF. The timeline on that will be interesting because that could put Napolitano into this during the operation.

Butch clearly doesn't respect that she is mandated by our system of checks and balances to answer these questions. She's not only an idiot, she's indifferent to the enormity of F&F's violation of law and the loss of life associated with it.

Other than Odingo himself, Napolitano is the scariest government apparatchik I've seen in my life. The voice. The bovine-like expression and the total disregard for the law. She's freaking terrifying. Honestly, just terrifying. How in hell does someone like her reach these positions of power?
