There is always a flaw. Like walking across a field after a new blanket of snow, every crime leaves footprints. And often it is some small detail the criminal never even thought of. The fake CBS/TANG memos were exposed because the perpetrator didn’t realize that the typeface used (with the ‘th’ superscript) was rarely used in the early ‘70’s, and then only by specially trained typists. It was a huge red flag. A forger here, would have to worry about paper, ink, embossed seals, aging factors, bleed rates of ink, and probably a dozen other variables that are hard to control. With news like this... well.... I can’t say that I am “optimistic” yet. But I can say that I am less cynical than usual.

Now the question is does he show up or do they try to turn this into a circus. IMO, they would rather give this up on a default judgment instead of taking a chance this court will declare him ineligible. The press will skewer him if that happens, and he’s history. It doesn’t matter that it’s only one state: a legal precedent will have been established. In the default judgment, he can still laugh it off and pretend they’re just crazy in Georgia.

I think it is highly likely that that is what they are going to try, but I also think it is likely that it won't work. They can't keep it a secret that a state has kicked him off the ballot because he didn't show the court that document that has been put on t-shirts and coffee cups. It would stink too badly to cover up.

Minor v. Happersett is what MUST be focused on, it is that law which slaps the cuffs on Obama.

Will the plaintiff's attorney's be able to do this? Is Obama really in grave danger of losing this case based on Minor v. Happersett? Would he be able to appeal? Is this the beginning of the avalanche?

Showing his real birth certificate will NOT get him around his father’s British Nationality and his own. There is NO WAY around Minor v. Happersett OR McCarthy v Briscoe 429 US 1317.

Or the 14th amendment. I'm not sure you are looking at things the same way that I am. His behavior since the beginning makes me think he can't even prove 14th amendment citizenship with what is ACTUALLY on file in Hawaii.

If he had had a real, legitimate, bonofide and actual Hawaiian birth certificate which was real proof that he was born in Hawaii, he wouldn't have done most of the stuff he did. He could have gotten a copy of it when the Original birth certificate issue came up in July/August of 2008. That stuff about Hawaii not being able to release it is utter bullsh*t unless it is under court seal, and even then he could have gotten a lawyer to sue for it's release.

I think there is a STRONG possibility that all he has on file is an affidavit of birth which was written and signed by his Grandmother. If this is the case, it will not be perceived as strong proof that he was actually born in this country. It will in fact, inflame his critics and arouse suspicion from the entire electorate.

The good will of giving him the benefit of the doubt will flip to become animosity and distrust against everything he has claimed. (Which is the way it should be if the public wasn't so stupid.)

As i've pointed out to obots, we started with the birth certificate first because if *IT* isn't legit, it is easy for the public to "get it." The American Father NBC thing would have an upwind fight because the public (and the entire legal establishment) is so very ignorant about it.

The only way Obama can get out of the definition of Natural Born Citizen (NBC is a person born to two parents who are citizens and born in the USA) is if he can prove his father was an American. The only way he can do that is to disavow Barack Obama Sr. and then prove who his father is. I don't see that arrogant arse doing THAT.

I fully expect Obama to appeal a ruling against him. Furthermore, the Judge can tell the SOS of Georgia to take him off, but I am not sure that they HAVE to. In which case it will get the SOS of Georgia sued.

I certainly HOPE it is! There are other states with ballot challenge lawsuits going on, Georgia would set a precedent, and oh BOY if ONE state disqualifies him... OMG its the end for Obama.
