If Romney wins Tuesday and garners the nomination, should the Tea Party field a candidate?

It's looking more and more like the RINO, country club, elitist attacks on Newt Gingrich are having their intended effect and that Mitt Romney will win in Florida and possibly take the Republican nomination. I don't know about you, but I'm up to **here** with the "lesser of two evils" nonsense and I very much doubt that Mitt will choose Sarah Palin or someone like her as his VP.

What to do, then? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I think at this time focus all energy and thoughts on the primary process, this is the key chance now to make the Republican party more to your liking

If Gingrich can stay within the margin of error I think he will be OK in Florida. I have a feeling that his support (the grass roots people) are nearly impossible to pole. They don't answer the phone if it isn't somebody they know and aren't particularly interested in telling other people what they think. They are too busy living their lives and taking care of their business. They don't have time for chatter.

At least that's us.

Very simple, if Romney gets it then do what I and many anti-RINO freepers did in 2008 when we were offered no choice which was Obama or McCain: Follow your conscience. I had decided early in 2008 that a McCain presidency at that time would have resulted (effectively) even worse than Obama. That is something to weigh in November as I will do with ANY nominee.

Romney had the 'big' Republican money and the early organization start and he made sure he could get on all the state ballots and fund ads in all the critical ones.

Newt didn't help himself or us in the long run by attacking Romney from the left on Getting rich in American, amnesty and against third party ads (citizen's united and swift boating) under the guise, as it was explained to me here by a few freepers, that he needed to do that to ‘win’. Nailing Romney for being a liberal consistently would have been a better strategy.

I will never vote for Romney in the general.

As to local and state GOP candidates, they damn well better be conservative by my mores, or to Hades with them too.

I am at the point of no more of the same old same old.

It’s possuble that her contract with Fox prohibits her from making an outright endorsement. She will have to find a way around it the way she did for Georgia.

I will likely end up only voting in state races. The GOP elites have stated that they will primary challenge Tea Party republicans in Congress and replace them with RINO’s, and will let those Tea Party members in the House flail in the wind during the general and allow the Dems to retake those seats should the challenge fail.

Furthermore, the GOP elite has said that they will leave Scott Walker to his own devices to defend himself in Wisconsin.

Santorum has to get out or he’s giving it to Romney.. and he can forget EVER trying to run again if he causes Romney to be the nominee.

Our appeals to his logic are falling on deaf ears. Either Santo really believes that he still has a chance to win the nomination, or he just doesn't give a damn about the calculus of him drawing votes away from Newt.

My personal sense of the man, is that he's too selfish to notice or care about the fact that he's splitting the conservative vote just enough to give Florida to Mitt.

Mormons have the most thorough geneology records ever ammassed in one place. They made special effort to gather the names of Jews murdered during the Holocaust so they could specifically baptize them into the Mormon faith to ‘save their souls’ and add them to their own rolls...as Mormons and not Jews. Conversion after death is not uncommon in the Mormon ‘church’.

Santorum is just waiting on a shoestring budget hoping for a Newt implosion. If you add Santorum's numbers with Newt's, the anti Romney wins easy. If Santorum would just take the hit for the team, Newt would walk through this. As long as Paul and Santorum muddy things up, we will end up with a 30% candidate going up against the $billion dollar machine. I smell another Bob Dole/McCain establishment pinata being anointed.

I've been saying this for years, that we will never get a candidate for us until we take over the party. We have the Christian vote, the gun vote, the pro life vote, low tax vote, border fence vote, but we still can't even cut funding to PBS after 40 years. I bet we have funded a border fence 13 times and still no fence. The same people that gave us McCain,...." The Maverick", last time won't even let a Tea Party person run a committee. It's easier to take a party over than to form a 3rd party and win, but it may be time to do just that. All my life I have watched the "Rockefeller" Republicans run the party. Give me a tax cut and to hell with the rest.

Where's the Tea Party? Why aren't we occupying anything? The world thinks the Tea Party has gone home. A 3rd party would almost assuredly give it to Obama, but so would Romney. Newt would have a good chance, even Santorum might pull it out. The Romneybots have just shown themselves to us by attacking Newt in a coordinated way this week. The fear of Newt was glaring in their eyes because they know he can't be controlled. We might finally get of the fence on some basic things we have wanted for decades. Discipline the judges, English official language, flat tax, and about 100 other things that Newt has written and spoke of for years. All things he says have been focus group tested so he can appeal to people. That's what he did with the Contract for America. Asked what people wanted and took the top 10 things and gave it to them in the first 100 days. Romney wouldn't do any of it. He's against guns and votes for abortion and is the architect of Obama Care. How can we even call him a Republican? He wants to seem "reasonable", not "controversial" and "extreme" That's just code for we won't rock the boat. Well, the boat is sinking.

I know about their records, but had no idea about their baptism practices. Outrageous. G-d will sort it out.

Some Florida Chabad Rabbi needs to get right in his face and ask him about this outright. Lots of Jews in FLA.

That's what's bothering me too—he should have gone after Romney from the right.

Especially if his main theme is that he is the only one that can effectively argue for ‘conservative values’

How the hell can he argue that Romney got rich by killing jobs and laying off workers, and now for for-closing on our homes(the main theme of Michael Moore's' Capitalism A Love Story'), and at the same time claim that he(Newt) needs to cut Romneys taxes for the exact same activity from 15% to 0% to ‘create jobs’.
Jeeze.. this is our spokesman? I can't defend arguments as flawed as this.

The press will make sure that a Florida loss is seen as the death knell for Newt’s campaign. Is this your first election cycle?

Mormons do genealogy to determine who their ancestors were, and their ancestors are the only dead people that they baptize. Called vicarious baptism.

Non-Mormons us their records, and to learn generally how to do genealogy research. I visited their local research site, and was helped with not a word about joining their church.

In fact many of the assistants at Mormon genealogy research sites are non-Mormons.

True, however, with Mitt, you'll get that and no fidelity to moral issues.

With Mitt Romney, you'll get the full monty where liberalism is concerned.

He'll say anything to get elected and he'll break each and every conservative, fake, promise he has made on the campaign trail if he becomes POTUS.

It's who Mitt Romney is, a snake.

A Pretender.
