If the dust up at the GOP meeting in Arizona is any indication, if one isnt ready to pledge 100% loyalty to Mitt Romney, hes not interested in seeing or hearing from you.
Its long been worried that Mitt would blow off the base of the party if elected, incidents like this do nothing to set these fears aside.
Mitt Romney held a meeting in Scottsdale with top Republicans, hoping to convince the undecideds to throw their support behind him, as . lets face it . his nomination is all but a fait accompli.
Mitt offered attendees a chance to meet with him privately, but there was a catch, you had to sign a loyalty pledge first.

GOPe is serving a really bad shit sandwich.
Romney sucks almost as bad as Obozo.
About the only differences I see are that Romney doesn’t actively hate America, and he’s not a Muslim.
0romney’s got it basssackwards.
Typical Romney.
Yeah, so? They're politicians; a signed loyalty oath should mean even less to them than their Oath of Office to defend the Constitution...or, in many cases, their marriage vows.
You got that exactly right.
Romney will show Zero loyalty to Conservatives, supporters, and normal patriotic Americans. Zero loyalty.....
Somebody on another thread pointed out the Romney spells R-Money. Weird...
Romney can kiss my A$$. Not signing any loyalty oath to anybody.
As long as it was on an Etch-A-Sketch!
Brilliant! LMAO!
OMG. that is brilliant, COB.
Romney cares only about those who can help him financially or politically. He couldn’t care less about the issues important to most Americans, let alone the issues that are important to conservatives.
He won’t be confronting the EPA, he’s not going to get in the way of the marxist indoctrination going on in our schools, He’s not going to get in the way of taxpayer funded alternative energy. He’s not going to trouble himself with our growing welfare state.
At 48 years old, I’m realizing that I’m running out of time to see a better America. Other middle aged people need to ask themselves how many more chances do they want to waste on scumbags like Romney and what do they see in their future as we continue down this path?
Has anyone asked him to sign a loyalty pledge to conservativism ?
Romney’s s*#t is weak and the GOP knows it. This explains the sudden flood the zone and full court press by mittbots here on FR. Don’t buy into the lie that Romney is a done deal.
He would not sign that. EVER. Mitt = RINO
For Rodney, being US President is simply a business opportunity.
Yep. He wants to have us finance his Global power play.
Globalist are almost as bad as the Marxist/Fascists. Neither have any principles only love power & gain.
In either case we loose essential Liberty.
Doubtful he woud do that in view of his minion’s “etch-a-sketch” comment.
Is it really surprising that a person who is a leader in one of the largest and wealthiest secret societies whose president has absolute and complete authority over its members would have a top-down political leadership style?
Is Romney a RINOlander,
Who caves-in to Debt-Decline?
Will he re-write Obamacare,
And propel us into financial hell?
Will Romney cast out REASON,
And join the Democrats lot?
Romneys past brings sparse hope to mind,
Of those that are TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY,
Of those who are not blind.
I loath Dictators of any stripe.
“a leader in one of the largest and wealthiest secret societies”??
I knew lots of Mormons when I lived in NM (1972-1986) and I know the history of their “church”. But I would not call them a secret society. Yes, it is top down, and some of their “beliefs” are absurd. But I think that description is a bit far out.
The Mormon’s who I knew there were faithful Republicans. (in a county where Dems to GOP was 5 to 1, I know because I was the GOP County Chairman there for a time) BUT when they had one of their own running, the Train Whistles told you to move or get run over. I saw that first hand. They would do “absolutely anything” to get them elected. FACT.
I would suggest perhaps you know the history they want the public to know. If people are loyal to a group until one of “their own” is involved - they aren’t really loyal to “the group” but using it for their own ends.
The Mormon church is an organization within an organization. There is a public face and then the elite one of a small group of insiders who control everything about the church. In the past those insiders who tried to leave and break the secrecy code were murdered. Mormonism is a religion, but it is also a political organization whose intent from the beginning was to take political control over the United States. Joseph Smith was chased out of Missouri and Ohio precisely because he attempted to overthrow those state governments. He was assassinated while running for the Presidency.
I would recommend you read, ONE NATION UNDER GODS: A HISTORY OF THE MORMON CHURCH by Richard Abanes.
I have a fair understanding about the formation of the Mormon Church. Especially what happened in Carthage Illinois. And I do know about the things he did that lead up to his murder.
Surely you do not suggest that Joseph Smith had any chance of being President of the U.S. That is just plain silly.
No, what I am saying is that the Later Day Saints have been a political and religious group from their founding. Their goal has always been to obtain political power in order to change the US Constitution to reflect the beliefs of Mormonism. Joseph Smith did not agree with the idea of constitutional representative government. He believed in theocracy where all authority comes from the Mormon leader who is a god and must be obeyed without question. His ‘church’ remains a totalitarian organization to this day.
Therefore, when Romney demands a loyalty oath from members of the Republican Party, he is being true to his Mormon beliefs about authority.
