The Rules Are Changing for Talking about Race

Attorney General Eric Holder should have been more careful about what to ask for. When he first took office, he called for a national dialogue on race, calling us "a nation of cowards" for not facing the subject honestly.

It may be that he's getting what he asked for, but it is not taking the direction he expected. There's perhaps a little too much courage and honesty going on for his tastes.

Until very recently, white people in the public eye carefully avoided any comments that fell outside narrow politically correct boundaries; to do so was to volunteer to be the defendant in a media show trial, with a loss of reputation and career the likely result. Even Bill Cosby, who had achieved a universal father-figure status among African-Americans and was arguably the nation's most popular black person, had his ears pinned back with a firestorm of criticism in 2004 when he suggested that problems in the black community originated in that community rather than with white racism.

But the Trayvon Martin case seems to have lifted the lid off the forbidden box, and, despite attempts to put the lid back on, politically incorrect spirits are escaping into the mainstream. Subsequent events show that a real dialogue may be taking place -- with conservatives hitting back instead of submitting to expectations of ideological perp walks and mea culpas.

Martin's death at the hands of community watch captain George Zimmerman was at first depicted in the national media as a classic case of violent white racism. Yet as more facts trickled out, that depiction became increasingly dubious. Furthermore, the media, politicians, and racial activists behaved so unethically, and their rhetoric was so over the top (Al Sharpton said the Republicans were calling for "a war on blacks" and....

They have pushed Whites to the tipping point - not going to take it anymore. They have finally opened the Pandora’s box of race-baiting and will not be able to close it. They have incensed Blacks to the point of even more violence and anger and now Whites have no choice but to be very aware of Blacks and to conduct a prudent profiling to ensure their safety.

What’s that thing that Squanto said some years ago on FR - something about being nice to everyone, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet?

I think the use of the “kill” word is unconscionable, so how about “a plan to stop the threat”?

We often see those comments deleted after running for a day or so. People are really, really sick of this stuff.

His long-time tagline:

“Be polite. Be professional. But have a plan to kill everyone you meet.”

I love it, too.

Given recent events, I’m going to be keeping a really close eye on any young blacks who are closing distance on me. And generally not be in places where it’s likely.

The media constantly showed the picture of Trayvon from when he was 13, to create an image that he was an innocent young kid.

Then we see pictures such as this, which shows Trayvon showing what a tough gang banger type he is, and things change. Then we learn he was a two bit hoodlum, had been in trouble in school, etc. Then, you have to wonder about the events which led to the shooting.

I am feeling increasingly upset about the way things are heading. I’ve been going to the same public shooting range since 1966. Recently, an increasing number of the, shall we say, “Government supported leisure class” have been taking “lessons” there.

The good news: “lessons” appears in quotes because most of the “instructors” don’t know their butt from a squib load. Students come out with virtually no competency or knowledge.

(The Florida Government regulators aren’t much better: I just took the written for my K license - LEO/Security instructor. On it were questions where the correct answer is “Tap/Rack/Bang”. Bang? How about “Tap/Rack/Re-assess”? Duh. Flori-DUH.)

Like the GOP, the NRO weenies are out of touch with life in America. They all do what Derbyshire does - they avoid social situations where a mobs of Blacks are hanging out. If they love their children, they warn them, too, and set them up in schools where they will not serve as pin cushions for black racists.

According to their world, it is best if no one mentions it and in fact, deny that they do this. In the world of political correctness it is “discrimination” - racism - to tell the truth. Derbyshire exposed them by saying it out loud.

One thing that goes missing in this article is a direct and honest take on the racial supremacy of Black Studies. Holder himself, demonstrated black racism to the Congress when he told them that it is not against the law for the black panthers - “his people” who intimidate voters in Philidelphia. Civil rights protection are for “his people” and others (whites) don’t have the same protections.

That is the bottom line. Black supremacy is the race problem in America and white weenies like those at NRO keep it in place by keeping their mouths shut about it. As a result, whites are being lynched and murdered by Holder’s people and that kind of violent racism is perfectly fine in the inJustice Department.

The rules changed substantially when a black man was voted in as president. I find it easy to say that we can’t be a racist country because of that very fact.

The Trayvon case is considerably smaller in comparison.

I was disappointed in SCOTUS for failing to use that rationale to dismiss quotas (by whatever name) out of hand. It had the perfect case to do it, in the case of promotions of firefighters in Connecticut.

"Naomi Schaefer Riley"

Thanks much for the link to that thread. I hadn't heard that story.

First thing I did upon learning that Derb had been canned at NR was to go out and buy one of his books. After reading it, I am pretty convinced:

We Are Doomed.
