Police used to just transport them to the state line. Can they do that any more?

I love it. Have Joe set up another tent city where farmers can pay the state a wage for legal labor in their fields. Then the illegal immigrants can actually be useful and help pay for all those that have not been caught.

A simple EXECUTIVE ORDER by Jan Brewer should be all that’s required.

Legally.

And let Obama/Holder sue to stop her.

Then repeat with a new law that’s 1% different. Rinse-Repeat all the way to November.

I just read an article about the millions of dollars that some states will need to spend cleaning Japanese debris from their beaches. Why can’t Arizona contract with Oregon to provide free labor for the clean up process? Problem solved.

That destroys job prospects for legal Americans, right?

Just have them mine for gold, ,anywhere.

Here is something to consider.

Illegal immigrants are not citizens of the united states. An argument can (and has) been made that they are still protected by the Federal Constitution. Since the courts have ruled that illegal immigrant prosecution and deportation is exclusively at the privilege of the fed, then Arizona could detain them as criminals (no legal argument their) but not have the power to prosecute them or allow them habeus corpes.

Logically, they can be detained as criminals but not charged as they are not citizens and the state has no jurisdiction to prosecute but a duty to apprehend them.

I'm wondering why the states don't rebel against Obozo. Collect up the illegals, jail them or transport them to the border despite what the feds say.

If the feds come a knockin, have an equal number of state troopers waiting on them.

What are they gonna do? Arrest police officers that threaten to arrest them?

Hmmmm. We should bill the Feds for that.

AZ should provide a one way bus ticket to all illegals: To Washington DC.

The Feds have a lot more and larger weapons to deploy against recalcitrant states. And enough troops who would obey “Fire on Citizens Order.”

US Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.
Arizona could declare itself under invasion from Mexico, and file an appeal to the Supremes for a Writ of Mandamus to order the Obama administration to enforce the law.

I'm not thinking we are there quite yet.

True, they do have bigger toy’z, but guerrilla warfare can create quite the headache.

Since obama has stated his plans not to deport certain groups of illegals, can’t he be sued personally in civil court for the costs that the states inquire because of his refusal to do his job. obama did take an oath of office, and he has now refused to keep his oath and that will cost the states millions, if not billions of dollars.

Those are OUR weapons, we paid for them. The Feds don't own sh_t. Politicians and bureaucrats are OUR servants and stewards of OUR property. If they EVER use OUR weapons against us illegally, they will trip the wire and will soon regret their fatal error. When push comes to shove, I am reasonably confident that the majority of LEOs and military personnel will be on our side.

No, that’s a hallmark of a bygone era. It was referred to as dumping where one state would deal with it’s criminals and miscreants by dumping them into another state. The problem is obvious: It doesn’t actually deal with the criminal, it just makes him someone else’s problem.

You are wrong. My neighbor recently retired from the Army as a Lt. Colonel. He led troops in the field for 20 years. I asked what would happen if an order came down to fire on US Citizens and also violate Posse Comitas. He said very few officers would obey this order. I asked what about the Non Coms and enlisted. He said most would refuse, some would desert the army and become part of a resistance movement.

It must also be noted that under Uniform Code of Military Justice, a soldier has the legal duty "not to carry out an illegal order."If he carries out an order that he knows to be illegal, he also can be prosecuted.

You can't have it both ways. They can't have constitutional rights, and not be allowed habeus corpus, which is a constitutional right.

Btw, just to beat anyone to it, aliens do indeed have constitutional rights.

If aliens had no rights under the Constitution, they might not only be banished, but even capitally punished, without a jury or the other incidents to a fair trial. But so far has a contrary principle been carried, in every part of the United States, that except on charges of treason, an alien has, besides all the common privileges, the special one of being tried by a jury, of which one-half may be also aliens.--James Madison
