Thanks to The Roberts Ruling, All That's Left Is Managing The Decline

If your planning on celebrating Independence Day today, I would suggest you do so as if you were attending a wake. After all, every reason we used to celebrate it has been destroyed. All those who died to defend the flag have died in vain, and those still fighting must ask themselves what are they putting their lives on the line for. I suggest they are now fighting for a future of rulers of America that will be managing the decline.

I used to celebrate the 4th of July by enjoying the freedom I was given by those who came before me, but how can I continue celebrating a victory that no longer exists? Regardless of what the establishment says, I cannot get past the fact that John Roberts has destroyed the constitution. That's why I will never be able to celebrate Independence Day again. All the blood that has been spilled by those who loved this country, from the Revolution to the war against terrorism, has been shed in vain.

Regardless of what is actually inside Obamacare, the real death blow to the constitution was John Robert's illogical and very unwise decision. In my lifetime, only Roe vs Wade even comes close to the damage this ruling has done. However, even when you take into consideration the 50 some odd million babies aborted since Roe became the law in 1973, it will pale in comparison to the damage Roberts ruling will have done in next 40 to 50 years. Speaking of Roe vs Wade, if anyone still thinks that Roberts would ever vote to end abortion, I have some ocean front property in Arizona for sale you might want to consider buying.

I remember when it was reported that the Supreme Court legalized abortion. There was a lot of discussion about the ruling, and most Americans disagreed with the ruling and they voiced their opinion that the Justices who sided with such a terrible decision needed to be impeached. I even remember a heated argument between the man I worked for at Anderson Lumber and a client about the need to impeach the two Justices who wrote the majority opinions, Burger and Douglas. A few years later Americans thought that it was just a matter of time before Roe would be reversed when Reagan was elected in 1980.

After all, Reagan ran on a platform where he promised to end the judicial activism of the Burger Court by only appointing judges who were opposed to abortion.  So when he got the chance, he appointed Sandra Day O'Conner, Antonin Scalia, and Anthony Kennedy to the court. It wouldn't be until 1992 that Regan's conservative court would get a chance to do what the vast majority of Americans expected them to do, but like Roberts last week, the will of the American people would be rejected. When the Court ruled on Planned Parenthood vs Casey, they would reaffirm a woman's right to end pregnancy in early stages and made it clear that a total ban on abortion would be found unconstitutional.

The ruling became an unexpected defeat for Conservatives who had high hopes of seeing an end to the abortion industry in America, because we believed Reagan would appoint judges who would change things. Instead of a 6-3 majority voting to uphold life, we saw two of Reagan's three appointees join one of George H. Bush's Justices in upholding Roe v. Wade by a five to four decision. O'Connor, Kennedy, Souter, Blackmun and Stevens voted to keep Roe as the law of the land, while Rehnquist, White, Scalia and Thomas voted to toss it out. What still stands out as a shocker to this day, is the fact that there were 7 Justices appointed by Republicans involved in that 1992 ruling, while the lone Democrat appointee, White, voted with the dissent.

If ever there was an example of how difficult it is to uphold the constitution and defend the rights of Americans, it was the 1992 ruling of on Planned Parenthood vs Casey.  It has been 20 years since that ruling, and we are still looking for another chance to end the legalized murder of over a million babies a year in America. Now that we know where Roberts loyalty lies, Imagine how long it will take to reverse the damage he did to the constitution and our rights with his ruling?

As of today in America, we can be forced to do what ever the federal government demands, as long it is done for the purpose of taxation. We can be forced by congress to buy anything they want us to purchase, do anything they want us to do, or live any way they want us to live. In essence, we have just become slaves to the state!  Karl Marx and every Communist/Fascist/Nazi/Totalitarian who has ever hated America and capitalism is dancing in the streets today. Even the ones who have died and went to hell are dancing the jig with Satan over this ruling!

Even if we get a super majority of Republicans in the House and Senate, and we elect Mitt Romney as the next president, the most they can do is end Obamacare, but that is all. Let's say president Romney gets a chance to appoint three Supreme Court Justices like Reagan did. Does anyone really expect him do have a better record of appointing true constructionist conservatives than Reagan did? 

They say it takes an average of about 40 to 50 years to reverse a bad Supreme Court ruling. Mark my word, before this ignorant ruling even gets revisited, there will have been so much damage done to our freedoms that those of us alive will not even recognize this country.

 So on this 4th of July I will be flying my flag upside down as a sign of distress while I reminisce about the freedoms I once enjoyed, because this ship is sinking and all we have left is a future of politicians who will manage the decline.

Absolutely correct. Perhaps those who condemn some as “pansies” ought to wake up and become realists instead of playing Tiny Tim and tip toe through the tulips. Just because we realize and discuss the dire straights this country is in doesn’t mean we aren’t still on the front lines. In fact, I suggest we’re much more prepared than those blowing smoke up other’s arses.

It has been 40 years since RvW, and Reagan even appointed two individuals who voted to uphold it in 1992.

So how long is the long term that you speak of?

I’ll still be involved as I said, but I am no longer going to be so naive that I think we will reverse the coarse we are on. Are you under the mindset that we will never ever put Democrats back in power before this ruling is reversed?

I am a historian, and as such I have a very good understanding of the consequences nations suffer down the road from very bad decisions. I also understand humans nature, and human nature tells me we are screwed because too many don’t understand the gravity of this ruling.

I guess I come down on the side of Limbaugh, Levin, and other realists that see this ruling is a VERY BAD THING!

Look to your state capitol.

Thirteen unanimous States of America told George III to take a flying leap.

Lately, 26 States (more than half!!!) could not even stop zeroCare with a lawsuit.

The states are the answer.

The Judges in the states, the LE people, the legislators, are all way closer to you than way off Washington. And it’s been proven time and time again that Washington WILL SEIZE AS MUCH POWER AS WE LET THEM!!

Battletank I agree, to know the enemy and the battle is better than pretending it does not exist. I see the enemy and know what the battle is about, and it’s not about the few leftists on the hill in front of us, it’s the millions of embedded communists that run the government I am now enslaved by.

When I think of the rights I had when I was born I am shocked and get angry, but when I read a ruling that tells me I am whatever the government tells me I am and I have no regress then I cannot help but get angry.

Think about it, why do we need the judiciary any longer?

Roberts has told Congress and the president that the judiciary has no control over what they do if what they do is done for the purpose of taxation.

Alamo-Girl; I do not despair about my salvation, I have faith that God will see me through, but I also know that he does not promise us a rose garden while here on earth in this world.

Eventually the warnings of the Bible will be upon us, and as much as I know how the story will end, I still cannot help but see a future for my children’s children that is going to be full of hardship and servitude.

I guess this is my way of doing as Christ tells us to do, be angry but do not sin. This is my way to keep from going over that line.

Don’t give up the ship. I felt completely sick over the Roberts’ treason too, but there are still tens of millions of patriots / Christians remaining in the country. Perhaps we are a minority, sadly — but keep in mind so were the founding fathers. We need to be 5x more committed to our cause than the communists and atheists are to theirs. It’s that simple. No time for hanging our heads.

I agree. Even if the cause was hopeless, that is no excuse to give up.

There is another way to look at this: Only one democratic president has won a second term in 60 years. Viewership of the major propaganda outlets of the democratic party is in freefall.

Our primary problem is not the democrats, it is the republican leadership, and ultimately ourselves. Obama was only elected because George Bush decided to take his second term as a vacation from politics and McCain never really showed up for the election in the first place.

We can stop sending wimps like McConnell to congress and selecting traitors like McCain to run for president. We need to stop letting CNN select our presidential candidate.

The truth of the matter is that the democrats can't succeed on their own, they need republicans to fail, to give up or never even try.

Right after Romney repeals Obamacare, he needs to get Roberts off the court. The man is clearly not stable.

Absolutely correct. Under the U.S. Constitution all Federal power ultimately flows from the consent of We the People via Congress, specifically the House of Representatives. The abrogation of constitutional responsibility on the part of the House has been an overriding theme for more than a century now, but the U.S. Constitution still stands and all that it would take to completely change things is an electorate which would send to Washington a Congress which takes its role and responsibility seriously. Remember, the entire House of Representatives is elected anew every two years. A reinvigorated House could dramatically change things in very short order as long as a similar sentiment change in he Senate could provide veto override support.

A dream? Perhaps. But sometimes things have to get really bad for people to finally take action to correct lifelong bad habits. We're not there just yet, but we're certainly continuing to move in that direction.

Please do not take my admittance to the defeat I feel as a sign that I have quit and will no longer fight.

I fight, and will continue to fight till I die, but I cannot sit back and ignore the dire consequences this ruling will have for the country as a whole.

Ask my wife and she will tell you that if anything this has awakened me to a point I have not been awake in quite some time.

My physical troubles aside, I feel invigorated to the point of wanting to take the enemy down with me.

All that being said, in the future my fight will begin to take on a new battle, one I have ignored and stepped back from in the last few years. I will again put more emphasis on the souls I win for Christ again.

I will still battle the enemy I see that is standing before me in this realm of consciousness we call the world. However, it’s time I step back onto a field I have ignored for awhile. It’s time I re-enter the battle against the evil that is destroying the souls of men.

I was in a meeting earlier this year where it was stated that the Obama campaign already had 20+ workers just focused on watching blogs and other forums in the Commonwealth of Virginia alone from one office in NoVA. The Marxist forces are pulling out all of the stops to try and ensure a repeat victory in November. This includes exactly what you are suggesting.

To test this, I've posted on the comments sections of major Virginia-based papers especially on “political” articles. I then just sat back and watch the hits against me. They are out there and everywhere on-line - at least in Virginia.

I trust that all the FReepers will resist this mind warfare and keep fighting the fight to remove the Marxist, elect the other candidates, hold them accountable, and keep finding and promoting the right candidates.

Damn right we can win the Senate, add to our House Majority and get Romney in - then hold them responsible for their actions while getting more good candidates to enter all the races.

The difference is that the new movements aren't that old. The new Tea Party, Sarah Palin, and others are a relatively recent political movement that has the capability to turn the County back to the Constitution and limited federal rule. We didn't get to this awful point overnight. This has happened over more than a century (depending on your perspective). We've got to set up mechanisms and continue the struggle to make it right over the next century for the sake of our offspring - and the world.

It doesn't take the majority to make this happen, it just takes a group of focused Patriots across our great nation to make this happen.

Thank you Alamo-Girl. My God, I'm sick of the whiners, sick of those who are giving in. If the colonies had been made of cowards like them, we wouldn't be celebrating independence today. And what we're going through now is nothing compared to what they went through and what they sacrificed.
