Dogs are members of the family.

A majority of people in the world will tell you, "Anyone who comes onto our property and kills a member of my family is my enemy."

Most also understand the inherent deal of this world: "Do unto others as you would have done unto you."

Careful what you start.

When "police business" means going onto someone's property and killing what they believe to be an innocent member of their family for "the greater good", you are doing it wrong.

Karmicly speaking, sometimes a stick is a stick, but usually it's a boomerang.

Put it down before you hurt yourself.

From the article update it is believed that one of the suspects ran into the back yard of 3204 Hodges Street and fled through a gate which led to the front yard. The suspect left the gate open which allowed the family dog the ability to chase after the suspect.

This is why our gates are always padlocked. It's not that much of a bother when you buy a set of padlocks keyed the same and the risk to our pets is reduced.

This German shepherd was named Monkey by his former owners. The rescuer changed his name to Journey and was adopted almost immediately.

“As my kids get older, I will teach them to avoid interaction with police if at all possible. I no longer see them as the famous, altruistic, “thin blue line” that protects me and my family. Sorry.”

Yep.

I was once in a convenience store during an armed robbery.
The gunman locked the store manager, the cashier and me in a store room.
From the store room phone, we called the cops 6 times before cops arrived to let us out 3 hours later.
Cops are worthless.

Or at least put a little spring clip on it. That would have forced the guy to jump the fence. I keep those on the inside of my wooden fence gates. Readily available in the chain/rope area at Home Depot.

I was raised that way, too.

Always viewed them as heroes.
Now...not so much.

Just killing the competition. Dogs actually understand the meaning of “to protect and serve”.

What’s to investigate? They’re punk thugs.

“As my kids get older, I will teach them to avoid interaction with police if at all possible. I no longer see them as the famous, altruistic, “thin blue line” that protects me and my family. Sorry.”

When I was a kid, we were taught cops were our friends. And they were friendly and helpful. Now they’ve been trained “you’re the enemy” and treat you as such.

But this is what life is like in a police state. Land of the free? LOL!

This is a great statement.
