Obama Campaign, DNC, Ohio DNC Sue to Take Away Number of Days Military Can Vote

The Ohio Democrat Party joined the 'party' and along with the Obama for America Campaign and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) - the 3 filed suit to reduce the three extra days the members of our military have to vote...because, you know they might be busy and might need those extra days.

According to the sue-happy administration and Democrats, the Military has "no discernible rational basis" for needing extra time.

That's a good argument considering Military absentee votes are seldom counted - but you have to think if you show up to vote in your own district, three days, or two days or one day early, you might get counted.

That's the problem: counted Military votes. A Rasmussen Poll released on July 22nd shows that Vets prefer Romney 59% to 35%. My assumption is that "veterans" are different from "active duty" Military, and I haven't found a poll of candidate preference among active duty Military - other than knowing they have contributed heavily to Ron Paul. Considering that, unless someone throws away their vote and writes him in or votes for Gary Johnson, Romney is closer to Paul than Obama (understatement? Yes.).

They take away voting privileges for our military who are prone to vote conservative but uses all federal resources to make it easier for the illegal vote.

We are in an upside down world and our country has been taken over from within.

For most Americans our military personnel are highly respected but the dems are so desperate that they now stoop to a law suit to disenfranchise the military vote. There isn't much that one can do that is more anti-American than this kind of wretchedness. I can't help but think this kind of politics will cost the entire democratic party in this next election. Stupid is as stupid does.

This is not what it seems to be, OHIO tried to shorten the “early” voting period, but EXCEPTED military voters.

It is true that the ad hoc county by county last weekend was not appropriate giving some voters more access than other, but it can be argued that letting only SOME people (military) have extra days is also not appropriate. The politics of the law suit are bad for the D’s. Which if you play by rules that let one party make a law that the other HAS to file suit against and and it makes them look bad to do so (even if the case has merit) may well work but I do not like them...

He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you..

This is where Tea Party spin offs should be working - “ They want to restrict voting, they want to restrict free speech, the want to keep you out of National Parks, they want to limit the size of families, they want to limit the size of your beverages, they took away the right to drink for 18 year olds...who is it??? Democrats!! The party of choice is the party of no freedom and no free choice.”

For the most part, your assumption is wrong. For mot legal issues, you are considered a veteran once you complete either basic or AIT, not sure which. The only exception I know of is something like Veterans of Foreign Wars, or Veterans of Iraq, which would, obviously, require a deployment to certain areas. But the basic term 'veteran' includes all retired, active duty, guard, reserves, etc.

As to the 'heavy Ron Paul contributions', that's more of Paul not telling the full truth. From my experience, most everyone I knew at basic didn't care about politics, the few who did thought he was crazy. One guy was crazy for him. And out of the guys ion my current unit, I don't know anyone who really supports him.
