I might find myself investing in popcorn companies beforehand...

Biden to self: “Let’s put some lipstick on this pig...Oh wait, I’m already wearing lipstick!”

That was my first thought too, but then I figured it all depends on who monitors the debates. It’s usually liberals, so they’ll probably ask softball questions so Biden doesn’t embarrass himself too much. I still think Ryan will do extremely well, but I’m just wondering what type of questions they’ll be presenting.

I seriously doubt that poor doddering old simpleton will agree to debate Ryan. If he’s dumb enough to, then yes, it will be appointment television. But I see Biden refusing.

Now, you want something that would stop the presses? Put O-Bammy in a debate against Ryan. That would look like a paycheck game with a division 3 school playing Notre Dame. it would go into the Buinness Book of Embarrassing Records under worst debate drubbing ever handed to a sitting president.

I have a feeling that Biden won’t be there.

I look forward to the Ryan / Biden debate.

Ryan is a good combination of policy wonk and a courageous guy who doesn’t back down from a battle.

The policy wonk in him has the facts and figures and ability to articulate the positions based on his knowledge.

He has been known to tell media types that he doesn’t accept the premise of the question, and then explain his positions.

Joe Biden will have a tough debate against Ryan.

Most of the questions in the debate will be related to foreign affairs which is Biden’s purported strength.

They have already scheduled the VP debate, along with 3 presidential debates. It’s already in the works.

Biden would have to back out of a scheduled event, if he doesn’t want to debate Ryan. How would that look?

There’s a difference between not agreeing to a debate in the first place, and backing out of an already scheduled debate with the GOP VP nominee.

This is just wrong. When the Hair-Club-for-Men doctor was pluggin Joe’s scalp, admittedly, he went a little too deep with the drill. Pitting Ryan against him in a debate is like pitting the little guy Corky from “Life Goes On.” I contend that, in fairness, we as good Republicans should offer the Obama/Biden team a comparative Republican surrogate for the Vice Presidential Debates - to that end, I suggest John McCain.

I would disagree, respectfully. With Obamas numbers and war on everything, Middle American, Independents and even Hillary supporters would see through the charade. Hillary still has a chance to run in 2016 when Obama loses and if you listen to the surrogates that worked in the Clinton whitehouse they are all dropping subtle hints that Obama will lose. I think this gives away their desire for Clinton to run in 2016. IMO

Hillary still has a chance to run in 2016.......nope, she's resigned herself to something else. My guess is the pseudo third-world Mu Mu-garbed Indira Ghandi facsimile of the new century. President of the United Nations.

Even if BFD Biden were there he wouldn’t be there, certainly not all there.

There, I’ve said it.

Biden will become ill or there will be a death in the family before the debate and they will have to cancel it.

Re: Hillary....”President of the United Nations.”

Do you mean Sec. General?.....

Countries that are on the Security Council of the UN cannot have one of their citizens as Sec General. Hilliary is ineligible.

Yes.....I said president because of the correlary to our President, but it’s still a third-world wannabe dictator with no obvious qualifications needed. While there is a rule that makes her officially ineligible, they would find a way to make it happen. Obama might even resign USA’s seat on the SC.

I don’t think an American is allowed to run the UN. But I’ll bet she goes for Pres. of the World Bank if she doesn’t go for POTUS.

They will have to drag Biden out from under his desk and onto the stage on the night of the much-anticipated Ryan-Plugs debate.
