NOAA Requests Ammunition For The Weather Service
http://pprnnews.prepperpodcast.com ^ | 8.13.12 | James Smith

Posted on 08/13/2012 3:05:16 PM PDT by Whenifhow

On 9 Aug 2012, the Department of Commerce, for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration by way of the National Weather Service, put out a solicitation for a small variety of ammunition.

The solicitation breaks down the requirements:

16,000 rounds of ammunition for semiautomatic pistols to be factory-loaded .40 S&W caliber, 180-grain jacketed hollow point (JHP). 6,000 rounds of frangible, 125-grain CFRHT .40 caliber. 24,000 rounds of ammunition for semiautomatic pistols to be factory-loaded .40 S&W caliber, 180-grain jacketed hollow point (JHP).

In all, 40,000 rounds of ammunition, and only 500 Transtar II blue 24″ x 40″ targets are being ordered.

All the ammunition and targets are being spread out over the US to three locations, Ellsworth ME, New Bedford MA, Wall NJ, and St. Petersburg, FL. Only the 24,000 rounds are being sent to Florida, no targets will be shipped there.

This all comes after the Department of Homeland Security requested a contract with manufactures for over 63,000,000 rounds rounds over the next 4 years.

And this raises other questions?

Could not the US Government simply re-allot the ammunition from DHS to DOC? What is it about being a weather person requires the training and use of a firearm? What future event is coming that makes the National Weather Service believes it needs to train and arm it’s employees?

We will report more about this as developments come in. See the video below for the 63 million rounds being requested.

I wonder if this is for the NOAA Maritime Corps (or whatever they call themselves these days!)? Unarmed vessels doing oceanographic research would be a prime hostage target in certain parts of the world.

The weather service is expecting bullet rain.

DHS has ordered ammo enough to kill the US population roughly three times.

I’m thinking it’s more like the weather service and all the other previously unarmed federal services are being used as ammo laundering facilities prior to further under the radar distribution to friends.

A caffeinated opinion with Fast and Furious roots.

I share that theory with you. However, they're underestimating the ability of the manufacturers to create new ammo. After all, they've been on steady production ramp-up since November 2008.

I’d be worried if they were ordering 5.56mm or 6.8 spc, 7.62 NATO, or .50 BMG. Or even 12 gauge. But they’re ordering pistol ammo.

I think it’s a bit more sinister than that although that’s bad enough. .40S&W is practically the standard round for hand guns used by a huge chunk of police around the country, namely in the Glock 22.

This is either for the previous mentioned research vessel’s protection or is just gubmit pissin away funds before the new management takes over. Don’t be surprised in a few years a whole lot of gubmit surplus ammo up for sale.

that may well be but I also think these humongous orders of ammo by fed agencies is a red flag that the fed plans to order and enforce a stop on all manufacturing and sales of ammo. When society has no food or ammo left, it's game over.

This is from research that Jared did on the 9-12 website and this info came out in March 2012 around the time of the article “Four Thousand New IRS ‘enforcement’ agents.”

Here’s more research on this from Jared.

Four thousand NEW IRS ‘enforcement’ agents.

In addition to the untold thousands of armed ‘Law Enforcement Officers’ outside of the U.S. Armed Forces, from the EPA’s jack-booted thugs, to excess IRS ‘enforcement’ agents, to the sixty-five law enforcement organizations within the Executive Branch of the federal government outside of the Dep’t of Homeland Security and the U.S. Armed Forces, already added since the Barack Hussein Obama Regime began their occupation of the White House and the rest of the federal government’s executive branch apparatus, the sheer number of Obama’s private army is simply staggering...

And the left has snuck them all into the mix right under our noses, slowly, over time, with few, if any of us, noticing.

If you’re not familiar with that of which I speak, consider the following ‘law enforcement agencies’ within the Executive branch of the federal government, outside of DHS and the U.S. Armed Forces (some of them do have legitimate functions, such as the FBI and the CIASPS, but the SIGTARP? USFSLEI? REALLY?):

Department of Agriculture (USDA):

Department of Labor (DOL):
Office of Inspector General (DOLOIG)

Department of State (DOS):

Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA)
United States Mint Police (USMP)
Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP)

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA):
Office of Inspector General (VAOIG)

Independent Agencies and Quasi-official Corporations:
Central Intelligence Agency Security Protective Service (CIASPS)
United States Environmental Protection Agency Criminal Investigation Division (EPACID)
United States Environmental Protection Agency Office of Inspector General (EPAOIG)

Federal Reserve Bank: Federal Reserve Police
Tennessee Valley Authority Office of Inspector General (TVAOIG)
Tennessee Valley Authority Police (TVAP)
United States Agency for International Development, Office of Inspector General (AIDOIG)

UNTIL I DID THE RESEARCH FOR THIS ARTICLE, I had no idea of the size of the private army that Obama ALREADY HAS at his disposal.

And as Glenn Beck mentioned in his talk radio show on GBTV earlier this week, the U.S. State Department has direct command authority over the contractors in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere, as well.

Then there’s the non-Coast Guard LEOs within DHS.

Yeah. Hiding in plain sight.

It’s difficult to avoid the conclusion that we’ve been living in a quasi-police state for many years, which has been slowly built up to enable somebody like Obama to do what he plans to do. After all, all of those untold tens of thousands (or is it hundreds of thousands?) of gun-toting feds constitute a CIVILIAN NATIONAL SECURITY FORCE that is JUST AS STRONG, JUST AS WELL FUNDED, as the U.S. Military, or at least, it will be, once defense cuts are fully in place.

I knew that all of these existed, and I simply ignored them, assuming they were proper and necessary for the functioning of the executive branch of government. And to some extent, that case can be reasonably made. But it has gotten far too huge, especially keeping in mind Obama’s declaration referenced in the preceding paragraph. Do we really need TWENTY-SIX OFFICES OF THE INSPECTOR GENERAL within the executive branch of the federal government, all outside of DHS and the U.S. Armed Forces? Do we?

WE MUST DEFEND DEFENSE FROM FURTHER BUDGET CUTS, AND CUT ALL UNCONSTITUTIONAL FEDERAL DEPARTMENTS & AGENCIES, ASAP!!!

When we have that under control, we must scale back the extent of federal law enforcement outside of the FBI!!
