On Kudlow Ed Klein just claimed that 2 wks ago Jarrett offered Hillery VP slot (vanity)
(seen on CNBC's Kudlow program) | August 16, 2012 | self

Joe Klein (author of "The Amateur")said his sources in the Clinton camp told him that Jarrett invited Hillary to lunch two weeks ago and asked her if she would accept the VP slot to replace Biden. Hillary refused to encourage an offer.

Klein said that Bill and Jarrett (and it is assumed Michelle and Barry) were for it, but Hillary figured that if Obama lost, she would be finished and she wanted to preserve her options for 2016.

OK , which is it ? Joe Klein or Ed Klein ? Joe wrote ‘ Primary Colors ‘ and is a clinton hack . Ed wrote ‘ The Amateur ‘ and ‘ The Truth About Hillary ‘ . Hardly a clintonite .

I'm not so sure he's not her flunky.

Jarrett IS the brains there. She is inseparable from boy wonder 24/7 I think. She is one low, anti-American, dangerous and extremely powerful dudette.

I've read over and over that it was Jarrett that delayed at least 2 times, the capture of Bin Laden. SHE said no, because “what if they failed - it would be blamed on The Won”

This whole thing is disgusting. I am sick to my stomach that the GOPe in DC, the lefty press and anyone else have not investigated this, pressed for clarity on what she does, etc. THIS is what makes the bamster and his entire gang of extreme radicals (including Geo Soros) so very frightening. WHY are so many covering up for this whole regime? Sickening.

"Cheer up baby ... sez right here even Sarah thinks you're better than Biden. Besides, 2016 is just four short years away."

Great photoshop job, but a RIP for Geoffrey Hughes who played Onslow. He passed away two weeks ago..

She doesn’t care. Isn’t that obvious.

She knows this idiot is going want to start a war in October. She is going to be so hated by next January she is going to make Colin Powell’s performance at the UN look like John Adams in Paris.

A couple of weeks ago the leftys on facebook were attacking Romney with a “cutesy” little bit that had a picture of Palin with her hair all messed up and it said something like,” McCain REJECTED Romney for this person, so what does that say about Romney? Think about it.” It was so stupid. But, in light of any possibility of Obama having to repudiate his own VP pick from 08, it provides an interesting possible response.

Her karma ran over her dogma: she was made a Chicago-style "offer she couldn't refuse" to become SoS under the Bamster.

She thought, what the hell, I can betray him POLITICALLY and take over for him in 2012 or 2016.

What she didn't count on was that he is not just a "college lesbian"-type Communist, but an avowed one, who really wants to destroy the US, and a Muslim who wants a renewed Caliphate.

The issue there being, as the Middle East heads towards the Big One, whatever failures occur there are hung around the SoS's neck.

In other words, he handed her an anchor and left her to sink or swim.

Cheers!

I expect her to have to enter rehab for alcoholism or "depression."

Some of the pictures of her recently are of a person pushed beyond their endurance: I personally expect she is privy to a LOT of crap about the Middle East that doesn't even make it *to* the press, let alone past their filters.

Cheers!

Palin won her debate with Biden despite all of the excuse making for his made up facts.

Only to a conservative who reads conservative websites. Other than that, the LSM had it as a Biden win

“Only to a conservative who reads conservative websites.”

Your insinuation that I only read conservative websites is false, arrogant and insulting.

IMO, only a liberal Obot would conclude that Biden won that debate. Biden is an idiot all day every day and Palin is a political genius on most days.

FYI, xzins has curiously refuted my assertion that Palin won her debate with Biden and he/she cites approvingly as support for this claim the LSM and says that only a person who reads “conservative websites” could think that Palin beat Biden.

What kind of conservative cites the LSM or Biden’s debate performance?

Turned out to be Ed, not Joe, as you probably know by now.

Still I’m doubtful of the report though have to give Ed more credence.

“Only to a conservative who reads conservative websites.”

Actually, StC, this is an example of how people see things through different lenses.

First, I see being a conservative and reading conservative websites as a positive thing. It never occurred to me that someone would see that negatively.

Second, I see people who are influenced by the LSM's view as being the very same people who do not read conservative websites.

Third, there are more of them than there are of us. A lot more. That is why so many Americans went away from that Palin/Biden debate period with the notion that Biden had won. He was slick, the LSM protected him, they misreported the event, AND they believed that Biden had won.

So, while you might wish that America saw things as you saw them at that time, the results of the election itself and the analysis and reviews of that debate all say that what we wish doesn't always come true.

You have patronizingly assumed that I judge Palin to have won her debate only because I am “a conservative who reads conservative websites.”

You are arrogant and wrong about what I read. I read tons of LSM websites and I watch tons of MSNBC and CNN not only whenever Fox goes to commercial but because I am a political junkie. My seasoned judgment is that, on the merits, Sarah won her debate. You said she didn't win because the LSM said she didn't, which, frankly is not my recollection or relevant, IMO.

You keep assuming that I think “conservatives reading conservative websites” is a bad thing.

Since I’ve been reading Free Republic since before Mar of 1998, and a member since March 26, 1998, that would be a pretty silly charge for me to be laying at the feet of others.

Now read again what I wrote with the assumption that reading conservative websites is a GOOD thing.

“You keep assuming that I think ‘conservatives reading conservative websites’ is a bad thing.”

Wrong. I never wrote that and don't think that. That is a false straw man argument.

In response to your comment #73, I wrote the following:

“You have patronizingly assumed that I judge Palin to have won her debate only because I am ‘a conservative who reads conservative websites.’”

You said that only such a person would think Palin won.

BTW, here is the AP write-up on MSNBC.com:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27001589/ns/politics-decision_08/t/expectations-low-palin-scores-debate/

"Expectations low, Palin scores in debate

"Contest with Biden allows her to get past embarrassing moments

"WASHINGTON — Joe Biden’s task was to attack. Sarah Palin’s was to attack, connect and stick to her folksy script.

"While both vice presidential candidates succeeded in their only debate of the campaign Thursday night, the stakes were much higher and the bar was much lower for Palin. So, in the contest of low expectations, Palin won.

"If nothing else, the first-term Alaska governor got past the raft of nonsensical and meandering answers in evening news interviews with Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson, the spoofs by Saturday Night Live and the mockery of late-night comics."
