Mayor Peter Swiderski addressed a letter to the entire village of Hastings on Hudson, New York, making clear his conviction that facts which offend the sensibilities of the left must be condemned as “deplorable, hateful and morally repugnant” as they do not “reflect the ideals of [the] community or…of [the] nation.”
At issue to the mayor is an ad placed on a series of billboards in Westchester County, Metro-North stations by the American Freedom Defense Initiative.
The ad states that there have been “19,250 deadly Islamic attacks since 9/11/01 and counting,” and continues on with the fact that, “It’s not Islamophobia, it’s Islamorealism.” (1)
Oddly enough, Mayor Swiderski does not question the truth of the group’s claim. Rather,...

I beg to differ. It may appear more benign on the surface but PC is pure cultural Marxism -- an attempt to stifle free expression and impose strict Marxist principles via language.

Hastings-on-Hudson is as left wing as you can get. The residents are all from Prospect Park (Brooklyn) and the upper west side. It is one of the most liberal towns in Westchester county.
The local newspaper, Gannett’s The Journal News, is a left-wing rag that is as biased as the New York Times.
I have a photo of the advertisement that Swiderski is referring to. It was paid for in part by Pamela Geller and is in response to the anti-Israel ad placed by a jew-hater a month ago.
