No he doesn’t. Even without MO we are looking good to pick up 4 to 8 Senate seats.

What is jeopardizing the GOP chances is the Conservative/GOP movement habit of allowing the Democrat/Media propaganda machine distract them off topic with these sort of non stories.

Akin is MO voters problem. The dominate issue is still the Economy, the GOP/Conservative movement needs to get back on message

better answer: RINO’s

This is simply playing the leftist game of “Gotcha” when a Republican “misspeaks” but ignore every stupid thing the liberal Dems do and say.

The GOP should refuse to play this game.

There is a tidal wave a la 2010 about to hit the DemRats in November.

Aiken is small potatoes.

It is ridiculous for the GOP to suggest that voters are going to forget all about the sh*t going on all around them economically and otherwise to focus on what one obscure candidate believes about a single issue.

Unless the GOP wants the electorate to focus on him.

I agree, and I hate the double standard (e.g. the pass Biden got on the chains remark), but I’m just calling it as I see it.

This is idiot is creating a lighting rod which endangers our chances of taking over the Congress and the Presidency.

That makes it MORE than a Missouri Issue.

I heard him interviewed yesterday on Hannity. He’s a clueless idiot who can’t see further than his own career.

The DemcRat controlled media won’t allow us to have a Joe Biden on our side. And in all his many stupid comments, Biden never said anything as dumb as what Aiken said.

I hope he can beat McCaskill, but I would rather he melt into begnign obscurity where he belongs and before he embarrasses us further on the floor of Congress.

The Rats knew what they were doing when they funneled money into this idiot’s campaign.

After getting repeatedly slammed on another thread I agree three for three in the first three comments. Every one dead on. How refreshing.

Akin has been bought by the DNC to throw a pivotal Senate seat and to give fodder to the DNC for their convention, highlighting the ‘war on women’. In typical liberal fashion, he refuses to resign. This is not the last of the left’s dirty tricks. Al Franken got his pivotal seat because a few thousand felons voted.

That will probably require long coat tails for Mitt, I hope he has them...

In any case we need at least 6 to take back the senate, and that’s counting on MA and ME flipping Dem...it might not happen, but we have to view it like it will.

That number was also counting on MO being a sure thing...now it’s not...and now we need 7.

It’s hard to be optimistic in light of that reality.

Are you suggesting that Akin is a Dem plant who intentionally made the comments to undermine his own campaign? I know the Dems contributed 1.5M to his primary because they saw him, rightly or wrongly, as the weakest candidate but to stretch that into an allegation of a plant is pretty farfetched.

I would think the GOP was made of sterner stuff than to jump through hoops whenever the MSM hypes up a story. Doing that guarantees the MSM will keep doing it

Ohhh get over it.

If this one man who did nothing wrong can drag down a whole political party then it isn't much of a political party.

Bought by the DNC? Your tinfoil is slipping.

Akin has a lifetime rating with the American Conservative Union of 97.24. How did he get it? Over 11 years of service including a vote AGAINST the 2007 October bail-out.

I agree. If each and every Republican candidate must be mistake free, we are guaranteed to always lose.

So, we must find a way to win with candidates with minor flaws, and there's no better time to figure out how than right now.

When the candidate has as many flaws as McCain, I have no suggestions.

We've got bigger things to worry about. Romney is going to have trouble about his economic advisor, who was featured as one of the bad guys in the movie "Inside Job".

I know the Dems contributed 1.5M to his primary...

Even that seems to be a distortion. They ran 1.5 million in ads accusing the GOP candidates of being too Conservative, especially Akin. Even if they thought he was weakest, they were trying to salt the ground against all three candidates.
