Dear Leader TANKING, Oh My...
Reaganite Republican ^ | October 9, 2012 | Reaganite Republican

POLLS:

Pew Research: Romney 49%, Obama 46 amongst likely voters, with women now 47-47 tie, when last month Obama led Romney by 18 points (56% - 38) among female likely voters (!).

Gallup: Romney and Obama now tied (= five-point debate bump): by a 'record-setting margin' debate watchers say Romney did better last Wednesday, Independents named him the victor by a devastating 70-19 margin... ouch!

Washington Times/Zogby: Romney up 45.1 - 44.5%
(+9 bounce)

Battleground: Romney crushing Obama with
Independents 51-35%

Military Times: Romney 66%, Obama 26

COMMENTARY:

American Thinker: 'Why Obama Will Lose All Three Debates'

Daily Beast: 'Does Obama Even Want to Win the Election?'

(hyper-liberal) Andrew Sullivan: "Seriously: has that kind of swing ever happened this late in a campaign?

Has any candidate lost 18 points among women voters in one night ever?

And we are told that when Obama left the stage that night, he was 'feeling good'. That's terrifying.

On every single issue, Obama has instantly plummeted into near-oblivion. He still has some personal advantages over Romney - even though they are all much diminished."

"Look: I'm trying to rally some morale, but I've never seen a candidate this late in the game, so far ahead, just throw in the towel in the way Obama did last week..."

"Too arrogant to take a core campaign responsibility seriously. Too arrogant to give his supporters what they deserve."

"Maybe if Romney can turn this whole campaign around in 90 minutes, Obama can now do the same. But I doubt it. A sitting president does not recover from being obliterated on substance, style and likability in the first debate and get much of a chance to come back. He has, at a critical moment, deeply depressed his base and his supporters and independents are flocking to Romney in droves."

Jim Lehrer @ PBS: "Spin doesn't work if everbody's
seen the event..."

John Zogby: "Don't ever ask again if polls matter"

and MOCKERY..

It’s reputation time and the pollsters need to focus on being accurate. Do I think Romney has surged? no, this has always been close and it will come down to a few states. I think they’ve been testing sampling models and these are the latest. Back in 92, they could get away with flawed logic but they can’t do that anymore. If it was just Rass, there would be question but even Gallup (under the pressure of the DOJ and the Chicago mob) shows Romney close or ahead, it’s true.
These people get paid on how well they perform and they need to be accurate if they want to get paid in the future.

The democrats are preparing to fill up random car trunks with random paper and voting machines to twist the outcome. It’s what they call “Grass roots” training.

I agree, I’m starting to think polling should be outlawed. Polling has been hijacked for a use for which it was never intended.

Who in the world gives credibility to polls when the media has a vested interested in making every race “a horse race”? In the next two weeks, it will be dispensing media Viagra to Obama’s limp presidency so they can hang the “Comeback Kid” moniker on him. So predictable and so stupid.

I hate polls. Meaningless pap.

You are 100% correct. Still, expect the media to begin a full court press against Romeny to change these numbers. The next 4 weeks will show us exactly how far the state of "journalism" has fallen in this country.

You would think that self preservation would kick in with some journalist, as they try to salvage a bit of their reputations after being in the tank for obama. It very well might for some. For others, though, the stench of desperation will permeate their every word and action, as they try to prove to the now aware public that the naked emperor does, in fact, have clothes on.

I want to see an Abrams parked in front of a voting place that has Black Panthers outside.

The military unlike during Chavez’s election is FOR the people, FOR the Constitution and AGAINST communism.

““Comeback Kid” moniker”

Just posted the same thought to a comment regarding a Republican pollster saying that a Pew poll that shows Romney ahead is skewed towards R’s by +5.

Don’t know who the pollster is, or how credible, but I’m sick of this back and forth and skewing. I’m ready to vote early and then tune out.

Gee. Tanking? Oh.

Trying to be sad, but can’t. This man has been actively trying with all his might to ruin this country. I want him out. Forgotten. Never to be heard from again.

And that goes DOUBLE for his wife.

America is BIGGER than these fools and their silly loser socialist schemes. I hope they are going to find that out really soon.

We have been wondering if Bammer is tanking on purpose - if he gets reelected and his policies continue the decline of the U.S., then “if we survive”, he will definitely be the cause and go down as the worst President in the history of the United States. However, if he is not re-elected, he can continue to blame republicans and racists for not giving him the chance to save the world.

Yes that was the Pew poll went from plus 8 dem to plus 5 Rep. I think that is closer to the 2010 +4 Rep turnout model but why are they doing it now? So they can do a poll the week before using the +8 and show him coming back. Only reason I can come up with as I know they don’t care about the truth.

And there’s another thread a little higher up saying polls have officially jumped the shark because Obama polled so well on Sunday.

I give up reading polls. The only one I care about is the one I vote at in November.

Polls are always skewed toward the dem until right before the election and low and behold every single time they tell us the truth that last few days.

Polls are so skewed this time, trying to help the dems, that the pollsters are taking this excuse to start to get them in line so they can be close to being right in the end. This debate was a blessing for them.

Because they have done the independent numbers and Romney is beating Obama bigger than Obama beat McCain in 2010 with the independents. They have also done the enthusiasm numbers and the Republicans are dominating. They have also gotten a look at the early voting numbers coming in and they know it is not 2008.

They know this election is looking a lot more like 2010 than 2008 which is what they were using up till now in their skewing.

It is all about keeping you polling company as a real player at this point which means getting the last weeks numbers right. They want to stay in business not look like zogby.
