Despite real-time video, emails to the White House and desperate cries for help, our defense secretary says we didn't send rescue forces to our Benghazi consulate because we didn't know what was going on.
In a statement bordering on the Kafkaesque, Leon Panetta told a news conference Thursday that four Americans, including our Libyan ambassador Chris Stevens, were left to die without a rescue attempt by nearby U.S. military forces because there's "a basic principle here, and the basic principle is that you don't deploy forces into harm's way without knowing what's going on, without having some real-time information about what's taking place."
That would seem to sum up the Obama administration's assessment of and story line about the Middle East — it has no real-time clue about what's going on. Osama bin Laden is dead, but Islamofascism is very much alive, and to send an ambassador and his diplomatic mission into harm's way without so much as a Marine security detachment with bayonets is unconscionable. Excuse us, Mr. Secretary, but your administration had a drone over the consulate on Sept. 11, and you and President Obama had a meeting that included Vice President Joe "Nobody Told Us" Biden in the Oval Office at 5 p.m. Washington time, a little more than an hour after the onset of the attack. There were at least 50 minutes of real-time video of the attack as the battle was sent streaming directly to the Situation Room in the White House.

The old press must be crying. The story about why Obama and Hillary were using government money, personnel, equipment and facilities to overthrow governments in the Middle East is coming out. Their “higher calling” President is just a grifter. They were setting the Middle East on fire so they could make money rebuilding it. They’re like arsonists who own the home furnishing store in town. They burn down a house so they can make money refurnishing it. Bad bad bad........
Everyone who watched the debate knew Biden was lying when he said “Nobody told us”. The guy is a joke.

Did Panetta expect al Qaeda to call in with GPS-camera phones and explain their plans and positions to him? Maybe we can air drop laser sighting tags throughout the Muslim world and ask them to all kindly affix one to the tops of their heads?

These are stalling tactics right out of the Clinton playbook. I remember when Leon Panetta was Clinton’s Chief of Staff. It was during that time that TWA 800 mysteriously fell into Long Island Sound. Eyewitnesses and a video showed a frightening story that suggested that TWA 800 was shot down on the night of July 17,1996 by something resembling a Stinger missile. It was Leon Panetta who took an active role in the coverup, appearing nightly on TV to spin the latest yarn about how the incident was being thoroughly investigated. Every inch of the sea bottom was searched for every piece of the downed passenger jet. We were told that until they had all the pieces assembled in a hanger, that the true nature of the crash would be known. This strung us along for months, if you can imagine to run out the clock. It gave enough time for Clinton to win reelection. If the truth were known, Clinton’s reelection chances would have been destroyed.
Just the same, the Obama Regime is trying to run out the clock. It is a tactic that Leon Panetta knows very well.
Panetta is an inbred DNC liar.
He will do anything to protect his beloved loser, Obozo, and the loser’s Chicago White House thugs.
Panetta will have to live the rest of his miserable life facing those, who will call him a lying traitor whenever they see him.
It will get worse for him when his beloved Bozo gets his butt beat in the election, and he has to sneak out of DC in January.
Remember Panetta, “You can run, but you can’t hide!” This is not a threat but reality for all of the traitors in the Obozo’s White House and Cabinet.
