Going negative.
11/11/12

Posted on 11/11/2012 8:36:19 AM PST by God pays good

One point being made is that Obama won by going negative. Think of the ads. We should have had commercials about Obama eating dogs. Seriously, why do we hold back? They sure don't. RNC should have run ads with dark imagery and music and lists of Obamas communist connections and communist atrocities. Can we try this next time please?

Well. That works both ways. I’ve gone completely and utterly negative. I don’t give a crap about diversity, hyphenation, gender politics, pussy RINOs or any of that worthless dogma.

.

They should have hit him with everything in ‘The Obama File’:

The best Obama exposure site on the net:
The Obama File ...

http://www.theobamafile.com/index_next_personal.html

The United States Library of Congress has selectedTheObamaFile.com for inclusion in its historic collectionof Internet materials
http://theobamafile.com/LibraryOfCongress.html

Just a few of the pages:
http://www.theobamafile.com/index_next_politics.html
http://www.theobamafile.com/BarackObama.htm
http://www.theobamafile.com/_family/FamilyPage.htm
http://www.theobamafile.com/ObamaEducation.htm
http://www.theobamafile.com/ObamaPsychology.htm

http://www.theobamafile.com/ObamaWife.htm
http://www.theobamafile.com/_associates/ObamaAssociates.htm
http://www.theobamafile.com/ObamaIconography.htm

.

Obviously, they at The United States Library of Congress read everything in ‘The Obama File’ and still accepted it- every sordid detail of Obama’s life.

Obama started negative and more negative as the campaign progressed. We can’t do that, the “news” media would attack us as being negative, but they always give the Dems a pass. We need to go after the media.

You are correct. The entire premise of the RNC efforts was incorrect. They failed to tie the pain to Obama. He successfully pushed all blame off the the GOP and past presidents. Shameful. Moreso than the presidential results are the senate results. The presidential campaign was close Should have been won but not a major beating like 2008. The senate races were the biggest catastrophe I can remember in politics. We were a lock to pick up 4-5 seats and lost seats. Shameful and evidence of the failed messaging this year.

But we could ignore their attacks on us and keep going. They already ignore our attacks and keep going. Why can’t we do the same?

Romney’s campaign was unimaginative and detail focused. He provided no vision of the America he wanted to achieve.

Simply focusing on particular issues and failings of the incumbent never works. You need to convey a goal and convince people that what your proposals will achieve that goal.

I don’t doubt that there was plenty of fraud in this election, but a coherent vision could have overwhelmed it.

Exactly. Why not use all of it? Fear. I say fear of what, losing?

Romney and the RNC didn’t mind going negative against Conservatives in the Primaries, or the General Election, did they? That’s the last time I will be shamed into voting for a rino GOP candidate for POTUS. gag me.

That's a symptom of the f'd up way the Republicans run their primaries.....Too many candidates, and stupid debates, which serve no purpose other than to bring the entire party down. Candidates need to close the sale without tearing down their opponents......There should be no more than three candidates, the first Primary should be Texas, and the last place finisher immediately drops out to make it a two-way race the rest of the way.

If the “news” media attacks us,so what. At this point we have nothing to lose. The problem is that our candidates and office holders have a fatal flaw, they want to be liked. They act like high school kids at the school dance. For decades, negative ads have worked every time they are used. Those who use them take a little heat, but laugh all the way to their opponents concession speech. When our guys run one of the so-called positive campaigns, alla McCain, they are savaged by the media anyway. This whole it's not if you win but how you play the game BS is killing us electorally and I dare say on the battlefields of the WOT. The object of campaigns and war is to win in anyway you can. Being feared is for winners, being liked is for losers.

Liberals used to run screaming from the 'liberal' charge.

Then the GOP went limp - after the media demonized Lee Atwater the GOP has been too frightened to use the weapons at their disposal.

I don’t hold back at all.

The GOP holds back, and it gets its ass routinely kicked.

And as soon as it gets its ass kicked, it doubles down on the strategy that just got its ass kicked.

It’s time for drastic action, it’s time for another party altogether, or we are going to get our asses kicked again.

And to those who say oh if we form a third party, we are going to get our asses kicked...well, I’m used to it by now, so I’m not afraid to try something new.

Because we are suckers!! We believe if we play nice, and play by the rules we will over come. The libtards do not care about rules, they only care about gaining power and control no matter the means. Read Saul Alinsky to understand there are no rules. When you have no moral compass, there is no need for rules.

Ayn Rand wrote about the media, and their power in “Fountain Head”, and that was in 1935 or there about.

Sadly, just like many situations when doing repairs, you must complete the break, before the repair can be successful.

Romney needed to run an ad of those pictures of 0bama with his feet up on our furniture in the Whitehouse.....didn’t need to say a word, just the graphics, but nooooo...., that would be racist.

Does it conflict with our principles? I don’t know.

Obama team played dirty, they knew a dirty election game would made many conservatives stay at home, and it happened.

Because the Democrats play chess, while the Republicans play checkers.

We were recently talking about a “Conservative only” primary, with one (1) winner to face the rino in the Republican Primary. We can’t let the Conservative vote be watered down against the rino again.

That’s why I think having Texas being the Kingmaker state would go a long way towards that.

That wouldn't work since everyone who voted for Barry also have their feet up on the furniture in their basements that WE paid for.
