Liberals are responsible for this tragedy
Tea Party Nation ^ | 12/15/12 | Judson Phillips

In light of a tragedy like the shooting at Newton yesterday, the immediate reaction of conservatives is to mourn and offer our sympathies and prayers for the victims. The immediate reaction of liberals is to politicize the issue.

When we are engaged in a war for our freedom, we cannot allow the left simply dominate the narrative while we act as decent human beings.

There is one simple truth here. Guns were not responsible for what happened yesterday. Liberals were.

How?

The school at Newton like schools everywhere was declared “gun free” zones.

Why don’t we just put up a big sign here that says, “DEFENESLESS TARGETS IN THIS BUILDING!”

The left has succeeded in pushing gun control and the end result has been perfectly predictable. Everywhere gun control is imposed, violent crime rises. Washington DC has some of the most draconian gun control laws around. It is also racked with violent crime. Ditto Nanny State Queen Michael Bloomberg’s hellhole called New York City. Citizens are defenseless but criminals didn’t get the memo. They sill have guns.

The church is responsible for our moral decay. As long as they passively standby and act like social clubs, society will continue to lose it’s moral compass. You cannot wink at sin and in some cases even embrace it and expect that people will automatically be inspired to do the right thing.

RE: "" So what?

I think that my use fits the definition of irony..

but I would answer Yes! if I was forced to answer the question, Would the persons you (meaning me) listed above arrange for an individual to kill his mother, twenty children, eight adults and then himself?

If it benefited their cause? Absolutely and get other individuals to get the other 59,999,971 Americans.

If you genuinely believe that the US government concocted and acted out a plan to find a disturbed twenty year old (whose mother conveniently owned weapons legally) and then somehow convinved him to murder his mother, take her guns to kill twenty children and eight adults and then kill himself...if you genuinely believe that then all I can do is mark you down as an idiot and wish you well.

If by US government you actually mean the individuals I've mentioned then yes I genuinely believe that they are capable of doing as you described.

Abe will explain from "the other side."

If you could first know where you are and whither you are tending, you could better judge what to do and how to do it. You initiated a policy to tolerate the Marxist-Alinsky radicals and let them rant; not only has it not ceased but was constantly augmented by decades of infiltration and indoctrination. You now have two Americas. In my opinion, it will not cease until a crisis shall have been reached and passed. A house divided against itself cannot stand. I believe this government cannot endure, permanently, half statist and half free; I do not expect the house to fall; but I do expect it will cease to be divided. It will become all one thing, or all the other.

The question today is either the opponents of statism will arrest the further spread of it and place it on course of ultimate extinction, or its advocates will push it forward till it shall become permanent.

Have you no tendency to the latter condition?

Let anyone who doubts carefully contemplate that now almost complete legal combination — piece of machinery, so to speak — compounded of the Republican Party hands-off doctrine and the dreadful actions among statism's chief architects.

I believe that too.. I'm an accomplished idiot.. does that make you happy, bunkie? :)

It’s certainly not about guns, or about guns making it easy to kill. The Rwandan Genocide in 1994 killed almost a million people, mainly using clubs, spears, and machetes.

No, this is about liberalism. This is about thinking that we’re all the same, and one big happy family. We’re not. This is about the liberal idea that religion and moral guidance don’t belong in public schools. This is also about the liberal idea that human beings have no more right to exist than spotted owls or some endangered lizard, and thinking that we can be killed before we are born just because someone may not want to deal with us.

To all those liberals out there that supported these wacko liberal ideas, what you’re now seeing, and for the past 20 years, is the result of a generation educated in the morally bankrupt vacuum of public school. Still think religion and moral guidance have no place in public school? Still think that human life isn’t special? Fine. Quit complaining. You’re getting your wish. You reap what you sow. It’s just too bad that too many other innocent people along the way will have to pay the price for your idiocy.

It’s pretty scummy of you to use this incident to try to get a few blog hits.

You really suck, did you know that?

Oh, I understand what you are trying to say. I am saying that you are wrong. The “government” is not destroying the country. We, the people who are the government, are.

"When guns are out lawed then a killer will use other things."

Why? Most murderers will still use guns. They won't reason that they can't because it's against the law. And there will always be plenty on the black market.

“There was a time when mental cases like this were committed to asylums after being judged dangerous to themselves or others.
The asylums were largely closed by the early 60s.”

Ironic, but the old Connecticut State Psychiatric Hospital is only about 1.5 miles from Sandy Hook where the shootings occurred.

It’s now closed and empty.

Point being you can’t stop a killer if their mind is set to do so,any tool they can use will do.

See my post #18 at Abortions—Number and Rate by State of Occurrence for more on this...

But between 2000 and 2008, Connecticut had the second-fastest growing abortion rate in the nation among all states...And actually, Connecticut is ONLY one of 14 states to have RISING abortion rates between 2000 and 2008...

...% wise (the abortion rate), Connecticut was #8 in abortion rate...with nearby states Delaware, NY, NJ ahead of it (leading the pack).

The womb is designed to be a generally "safe" haven; yet it is the MOST DANGEROUS PLACE ON EARTH TO LIVE! More than 40% of pre-borns in many countries don't make it out alive...even though their residency period there is so short!

If the womb is the most hostile place to be...

...especially in states like...
...Connecticut & its surrounding regions of NY/NJ...
...and is even infecting PA, which had saw a drop in abortions 'tween 2000-2005...
...while other Eastern states like Delaware, Maine and NH are also rising in dismembering the pre-born...

...then how can you expect kindergarten classes to remain safe????

As the prophet Hosea proclaimed to an adulterous nation: "...bloodshed follows bloodshed" (Hosea 4:2)

A nation that is bent & intent upon killing its offspring cannot wonder how it is that there's others besides abortionists out to kill their young

We don’t like the incarceration of the mental, and yet again we don’t like when they go off and kill everyone.

I think we would see a whole lot less of the "mental" if, somehow, our culture were able to return to the way it was 50-60 years ago.

E.g., a culture where
- moms stayed home with their small children, and didn't dump them in daycare
- families stayed intact, with a dad in the home, if only "for the sake of the children"
- most people attended some kind of religious services, at least a few times a year.

Most of these government jobs are going to go away in the future. Best if it would happen before the country crashes, but it is in the anti-American unions and anti-American dole users to ride the cash cow ALL THE WAY DOWN.

That is how Romney lost in fact.

Regarding other stuff, we were broke when Reagan came in and he said close these places down rather than incur the debt they would make.
That was back when borrowing money seemed inconceivable unless we were at war.

Anyone here for a castration program for the mentally challenged or to jail them for life? That is the harsh reality of what would be needed to get them safe.

Sure, God/Country and no alcohol/drug abuse which creates more of these mentally challenged kids. Head Start is full of these kinds of kids more than ever today.

Down the road will be a blood bath IMO.

We also do not need overzealous social workers removing children because of domestic issues, sure sometimes its a valid case but I see an awful lot of violence against Children’s Services lately and the state taking custody of the kids. there is a troubling undercurrent of farming out these kids to foster homes, each being more competitive in getting the kid and then garnishing the parents wages.

I know because they took my son away three years ago and they take most of my paycheck away, and I am fighting to keep him with a foster mother I respect, but the state has another family that is demanding they get my son because they have a better home.

But they also want more money from me to go in their pockets.

And this has been festering inside of me for years, fortunately I prefer to be sane and logical instead of irrational and deadly.

Agree that Head Start is only a "feel-good" bandaid. Studies have shown that kids who go through Head Start are just as likely to become criminals, as their peers who didn't go to Head Start.

But those Head Start kids who go on to a life of crime are usually not the mass-shooting types.

The mass shooters are more likely to be white kids from the relatively well-off suburbs. They aren't in the demographic that was sent to Head Start. However I would bet that the vast majority of school shooters had been dumped in daycare (private daycare) at an early age.

You won't find the MSM pursuing that angle; it is too politically incorrect.
