I was 26 years old and barely married for two months when what you see in the pictures above happened. I was in Romania, carrying an AKM-47 as a Navy reservist. I didn't really cared if I was to live or to die - living my entire as a slave under communism really made me indifferent to the perspective of dying. In fact, I was ready to put a bullet in my head if the revolution wouldn't have succeed.
My father once told me: son, the single biggest mistake me and your grandad did was to surrender our guns in 1949 when the communists made gun ownership illegal. You paid for our mistake and I am sorry for that.
Now I have a 22 year old son and I am making anyone who wants to come to my home take my guns away A PLEDGE:
YOU WILL NOT TAKE MY GUNS. I WILL NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE MY FATHER AND GRANDFATHER DID. I WILL NOT LET MY SON RISK HIS LIFE FIGHTING A ANOTHER REVOLUTION TO OVERTHROW ANOTHER DICTATOR BECAUSE I WAS A COWARD AND GAVE UP INTO YOUR DEMANDS.
I owe that to my son and to all the people who died for liberty in December 1989.
So help me God.

Brother, you still can surprise. That's the best holiday salutation I've seen in a long time. Perfect Freeper spirit!
I thought you were MUCH older than that, you old curmudgeon...
Heehee
They never have to go to everyone’s house.
they do it to a number of houses initially, get the general sheeple population afraid, then say to the rest, turn em in or we’re coming for you.
At that point they need to be relieved of command. So that constitutional peace officers can be put in place.
I get that sometimes.
But you can always take heart in the fact that I'll be around until 2049.
I do.
The fear of gun grabbers is the main reason I did not apply for a cc permit when they were finally allowed in WI. I did not want to be on the local police register as having guns.

That’s priceless.
Jolly good.
LOL! The ultimate blog pimp!
Nope, It will read "Why have you excerpt..."
Nicolae and Elena were given a fair and speedy trial, condemned, and ordered to be shot on 22 December 1989. Volunteers for the 8 man firing squad extended for several blocks. When Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu were led out, each member of the firing party had an AKM with a 30-round magazine; 240 rounds later, the pair succumbed to lead poisoning. I imagine there will be some American political hacks that meet a similar fate if the Left gets their wish for CW2.
2049? Isn’t that a bit optimistic?
Geez, I remember all that happening like it was yesterday.
The trial was speedy but a total fiasco. A lot of questions remain unanswered to this day, and a lot of henchmen of the regime got away and later become millionaires by tapping into Ceausescu’s secret Swiss bank accounts. Justice was only partially served that day.
As for the date of the execution: it was Christmas Day December 25th 1989 when the soldiers put them against the wall and filled them with lead.
Quit, you’re making my sides hurt.
**** “If you won’t exercise your 2nd Amendment rights when tyranny is on your doorstep, you were never going to do it anyway. Might as well turn your guns in now and save them the trouble.” ****
Naw .... I just bought a new Shovel...
My neighbor may not be a prepper but he will help me bury the body just because of the stench and flies... he is a friend but my problem is when tshtf he is totally unprepared... BUT he knows that I am...
He made fun of my TP stash (and he only saw about 1/3 of it) and when things get really rough for him and his family, things will change... spoke with him today and came close to explaining the Future ... then his phone rang and he had to split.
I really wish that more people would Prepare (or as the Govt says... Hoard)

Nah. That'd make me 85 when I die.
Both parents are alive at 81 and grandparents lived into their 90s.
85 seems a fair bet.
They started trying to change the culture back about 1967-69. At that time I went Christmas shopping with a couple of women that I used to work with. As we walked out of the department store, there were several protestors protesting the selling of toy guns in the store. Even back then they were doing agitprop against TOY guns. I have wondered why they were doing this and I came to understand that they were trying to make the stores and the customers feel that there must be something wrong with toy guns. The idiots back then were saying that toy guns promoted violence. They were trying to make people and stores feel self-conscious about selling or buying toy guns. Since those days, you do not see toy guns in the stores like you used to and you do not see boys playing shoot-em-up like they used too. Funny, when boys were allowed harmless boy play, they were not so hung up with pent up violent feelings and taking it out on their schools.
