Issa Directly Calls Clinton A Liar
The Market Ticker ^ | April 24, 2013 | Karl Denninger

[video of Fox's interview with Rep.Issa where he states that Secretary Clinton lied to Congress about Benghazi.]

Now explain the problem I am about to lay out: Lying to Congress is a crime.

Anyone suborning perjury to Congress has committed a federal crime.

Where are the demands for indictments and, since we know Holder will not prosecute, where are the articles of impeachment against everyone involved up and down the line?

Oh yeah Issa, it's great that you bring this sort of thing forward but without a big bite to go with it you're whining -- and lying about your claimed "outrage."

Congress has the tools to put a stop to this crap by enforcing the law. That which the US AG refuses to prosecute can be and properly is grounds to impeach said AG (see Watergate.) That which The President refuses to direct the AG to prosecute when clear evidence of perjury before Congress is exposed gives grounds to Congress for his impeachment (again, see Watergate.)

If The Senate refuses to convict that is their right, but all revenue bills must originate in The House, and if Boehner had even one ball, say much less two, he and you could demand compliance and enforce that demand by refusing to fund anything until Holder and Obama prosecuted the people responsible or resigned and/or were impeached.

In short The House has full authority to resolve this, but you refuse to use it.

That makes you equal co-conspirators and accessories after the fact.

Have a nice day jack***.

“As long as Scooter Libby is in jail!”

About as classic a case of MSM power as could ever be made.

Issa is a useless idiot. Nothing he does amounts to anything.

Why isn't Congress holding her accountable for perjury? How many Republicans are being blackmailed or bribed into indifference?

Issa should have filed articles of impeachment against Holder for lying to congress under oath during F&F! When they filed a false document, and then "undid it" later after being caught? Yeah, right!

Spiro Agnew was never convicted of PERJURY or even charged. He was convicted of TAX EVASION and ACCEPTING BRIBES. His punishment? $10,000.00 fine.

Nixon was not charged with any crime, Ford pardoned him before he could be.

Agnew was convicted of TAX EVASION and ACCEPTING BRIBES. Not perjury.

Sorry.

What difference, at this point, does it make?

If you’re going into exile, I guess it wouldn’t make a difference.

“After two appeals by Agnew, he finally resigned himself to the matter and a check for $268,482 was turned over to Maryland State Treasurer William S. James in early 1983.”

OK, so it wasn’t a fine.

AND it had NOTHING to do with perjury and that is what we were discussing. Now after several of these posts back and forth discussing Nixon and Agnew, I still am not aware of any politician that has been convicted and punished for perjury. I do know of several common folks that have been punished but the politicians just seem to have immunity.

The details hardly matter. What was the last time a prominent democrat was removed from office? Don’t get lost in the forest looking at trees.

And by the way Nixon hardly resigned out of his own volition. He was confronted by prominent republicans by telling him he would be impeached if he did not resign.

Again, name me one president, VP, Attorney General, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of Treasury, Secretary of State or even a US Senatoe belonging to the democrat party was removed from office since I immigrated here 53 years ago.

Duke Cunningham comes to mind. Of course he was a Republican. Alcey Hastings (Democrat) was a federal judge who impeached and removed from office.

Of course, he was elected to Congress and has been there collecting the graft ever since.

But you are right, prominent politicians, especially Democrats are seldom if ever even prosecuted much less removed from office.

Boehner is stopping the process to make any of these people pay for their crimes and negligence.

There was a brave and outspoken Congressman from a Southern state that as much as said that Boehner is the problem.
