Scandalanche
Vanity ^ | 10 June 2013 | Windflier

I've been seeing a lot of theories lately about the veritable avalanche of scandals dropping from the Obama administration. Some posit that the administration itself is leaking these blockbuster revelations in order to push more damaging scandals off the front page, and off the public's radar.

I'm not so sure, although poster txhurl offered one of the better theories I've seen, on another thread tonight.

He posits that Camp Hillary may be behind these leaks, as no one but her could benefit as much by getting the Benghazi scandal off the front pages, and off the public's radar.

Possible -- possible...but, let us not forget that some of what's coming out, casts a severely negative light on her tenure as SofS. Are we seeing an internal political war, using scandalous leaks as missiles? Perhaps, but I'm not convinced that's the case.

In my view, there's every possibility that it could have started that way, but it's spiraled out of control, and like a box of firecrackers going off one by one, it's taken on a life of its own. One points a finger at this one, who then causes a counter leak in retaliation, which injures a third and fourth party, who then fire their own fusillades of return fire, which then lights up a battery in a wholly different branch of government, which then causes all sorts of apparatchiks to run for cover while taking their files and hard drives as insurance against attack....ad infinitum.

In my view, the regime isn't leaking these damaging scandals on purpose. I believe we're witnessing the Great Unraveling....the wheels coming off the bus...the rats jumping ship....in short, a full blown meltdown of concentrated evil such as this country has never seen before.

It's the Scandalanche.

Considering there is nothing beyond either Clinton or Jarret, anything, no matter how unlikely, can be either the truth itself or a part of the truth.

People just need to stop with the ‘tinfoil accusations’ (not you Windy) and read 1984...because the powers that be use it for a how to manual.

“What say you?”

I don’t think it’s Her Thighness because all of this bad publicity puts a serious hurt on the Democrat brand thus damaging its prospects.

I just pray you’re right about the great unraveling.

Can’t wait for Benghazi Barry to get his.

Scandalanche: Is that when the OBAMASCAMS are piled so high they reach a TIPPING POINT ?

It has been proven that if one finds the right ‘meme’, it becomes very popular, even with idiots. Scandalanche might be one of those. Might be as popular as hula-hoops.

I say that all this is part of Hussein’s weakening of America. He’s trying to make the CIA, NSA, FBI, IRS, etc., impotent. Their credibility is being eroded systematically. With the exception of Benghazi (a true scandal that is being covered up) everything has been leaked through the leftist MSM. Hussein’s Muslim friends around the world must be very pleased.

I agree, but I think we've got our faces too close to the pixels to see the big picture. If you step back, I think you can see that the regime has clearly lost control of events. They're back-pedaling and sounding patently ridiculous with what few explanations they're offering.

Like a game of whack-a-mole, no sooner do they get one thing to quiet down for a day or two, when an even bigger scandal drops like an anvil on Wile Coyote's head.

I think they've clearly lost control, and are headed into bunker mode. These scandals are some of the most egregious violations of the public trust we've seen in our lifetimes. Forget comparisons to Watergate. We need a new word to describe it, which is why I dreamed up the term, Scandalanche tonight.

I like your logic, but do we really give Hildy credit for having that sort of wisdom? Dunno. I mean, I really do not know. She and her inner circle could be so blinded with rage at the 'other' camp, that they're not thinking about the brand -- just vengeance.

we need a good scandal involving the press so they get outed. It is enough to yammer, “if Geo. Bush said that or this” as I hear here and daily on Rush, but until something forces them to report to the low information voter what is going on, these scandalanches will be un noticed.

I think the theory is contained in the play on words. An avalanche can be triggered by just one small event, such as a small boulder going over the edge of a mountainside.

This all could have started as a result of an internal struggle between two warring factions in the Democrat camp. Like I said above, one fires at an opponent, and the fallout causes multiple return fire, which then sets off a chain reaction in other nearby camps. Pretty soon, you've got a barroom brawl, and everyone's nose gets bloodied.

Oh don’t get me wrong. I agree it’s out of control. But that too could well be the idea. Unleash total chaos and then ride in with an obamacare omnibus solution to save the day. Never let a good dozen scandals go to waste!

NOTHING would shock me. Nothing.

The NSA thing seems to have all of the legs for a summer long scandal.

1. The nation spying on everyone of us.
2. mysterious technology almost beyond our imagination.
3. A young attractive high school dropout/computer expert with a beautiful girlfriend, who risks it all to warn the people. And then runs for his life.
4. Possible foreign intrigue with China involved.
5. Hints by the leaker that he has only revealed the tip of the iceberg.
6. The whole political landscape roiled by the leak. Liberals and conservatives realigning alliances.

This story has all the making of a blockbuster series on television. A mystery thriller. It's just too pat. It's too juicy. All of the other scandals are boring.

In our lifetimes? Try history of the world and it’s all happened on the Magic Negroe’s watch. He confirmed our worst fears about when that day would come and it’s actually worse than I ever envisioned it.

I've heard that theory too, but consider this: Karl Rove's Crossroads org is running pro-amnesty commercials day and night on every conservative radio station. Can't keep the subject out of the limelight doing that!

I think we’re seeing some opening salvos in a political war of succession, Dixie vs. Chicago.

If both sides fight back and forth relentlessly, finally falling on the last day at the same time then the USA as a whole will be immensely tired, but the better for it.

It will be ChicagoMultiCulti vs. DixieLesbo, essentially.

And at the end of the day, most Americans are going to look at him and say, "Hang on a minute. Aren't you their BOSS??"

That's a suicidal move for any chief executive.
