In a Politico article, Chuck Schumer explains how an anti-freedom ad should be structured to obtain support of normally pro-freedom people. He advises this approach:
Now Im an NRA member. Im proud of that, Schumer narrated, taking on the persona of a Nevada gun shop owner. My daddy was, his daddy before him, and my kids are going to be NRA members. But on this one? Background checks? Theyre wrong. That background check aint gonna affect me. Im a law-abiding citizen. Itll just affect felons, spousal abusers, people [who are] mentally ill. So on this one, I dont agree with the NRA.
I do not think that approach will work either, Chuck. Half the country are more informed than you give them credit for. They know the "background check" scheme that you put forward was just a thinly disguised move toward universal gun registration, which is effective gun confiscation in slow motion, over the next generation or two.
You have been able to lie to enough people, enough of the time, to promote all those failed big government schemes.
With the new media, you no longer have an oligopoly that controls the flow of information.
Dean Weingarten
beside genius Shumer, bad guys don’t do background checks, you sitting on your brains
I need to read this again but is Shumer claiming to be an NRA member? Hell, Shumer couldn’t spell NRA.
The premise is bizarre ~ that Chucky Schumer would need to teach Bloomberg how to lie........ just where has that writer been lo these 20 years
He’s an accomplished demagogue. By our Framer’s system, such people were limited to the House of Representatives.
Sounds like those “conservative” amnesty bill ads on Rush’s show and Fox News that are sponsored by the Lefties like Zuckerberg and Soros.
You are exactly correct. It is up to us in the new media to expose their lies.

Thanks marktwain.
That's how Rush Limbaugh stated catching the fakes ( democrat liars pretending to be Republican) They would call his show and say, "I've been a Republican for 40 years and I believe.. BUT... BUT... then they would go on to trash Republicans. Rush caught most of 'em - but the little liars come here to the internet to find how we speak and interact so they can lie more effectively.
They're evil... looks like Schumer's taught them well...
I remember them being sickening... and the New York Times “missed’ that story too.
If President Bush had his boys doing target practice on pregnant women and young children, the Times or Washington Post would have been screaming bloody murder. But when it's THE ONE - the one and only Obama - they
“miss’ the story.
The New York Times and Washington Post newspapers deserve to go out of business.
