2013 Six Month Report: 5,635 Violent Islamic Attacks Committed Against Jews in Israel

The stats are horrific, but the media silence (and the world's silence) on this war on the Jews is as dangerous as the attacks themselves. The silence is sanction. This is a dangerous pattern that the Jewish people have seen (and suffered) throughout their history -- a silence, an acceptance of a certain level of hatred and violence, so as not to make things worse. And it only gets worse.

An old joke: Two Jews are dragged off by anti-Semites before a firing squad. The first one cries, "Stop! Stop! You're murdering an innocent man."

"Shhhhh!" hisses the second Jew. "Don't cause trouble!"

I get news of these attacks from Atlas readers with increased regularity. And these terrible accounts are accompanied by a lack of response by the police and the IDF.

“If there is spray painting on the side of a mosque or an Arab’s tires are slashed it is on the news, but violence against us is ignored,” Yehudit Tayar, a medic and spokeswoman for the Hatzalah organization, said. “Can you imagine being attacked on a consistent basis and it not even being reported?”

A new unauthorized report from an Israeli emergency service offers staggering figures of attacks against Israelis in the West Bank and Jerusalem that are rarely heard about in the media.

Hatzalah Yehudah and Shomron, a volunteer emergency medical response organization that works along with the IDF and Israeli security forces throughout Judea, Samaria and the Jordan Valley, compiled the report.

According to their statistics, there were 5,635 attacks in the first half of 2013 against Jewish inhabitants of the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Greater Jerusalem regions alone,

A liberal would not generalize from a few thousand isolated incidents in six months - that might lead to profiling. They want Israel to follow the TSA's lead and check all potential threats (except Muslims).

I think propaganda is self-defeating. In Israel we measure the security situation by the number of deaths and serious injuries suffered in hostile attacks. In the period referred to I think the number of deaths was one with some severe injuries. You got far more victims from bar-room brawls than this. I don’t how many of these rock-throwing incidents, which is what they seem to be in main, are “Islamic” or nationalistic — there is a difference. By the same token we have in Israel one million Muslims. Most of them are law-abiding productive citizens living in harmony although not without friction and the security agencies ride herd on the trouble-makers and put them in jail. We know what real waves of terror are. Next to what is going on in neighboring Syria, Egypt, Iraq, and even Lebanon, Israel is a very calm place. The greatest danger is getting killed in a car accident.
