Marco Rubio -Long a Supporter of Action in Syria-
Says Now It's 'Too Late', Obama 'Missed the Boat'

'Left us with the worst possible scenario'
Marco Rubio -a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee- told Jake Tapper yesterday that 'we are really in a bind here', owing to the president's lack of action and/or strategy since the birth of the
Syrian civil conflict...
But it's pretty telling when one of the loudest advocates of intervention in Syria -who I really never agreed with, same as on immigration- now says he can't see what we can or should do that would lead to any sort of outcome favorable to the interests of the United States. Note that nobody else can explain why we ought to acquiesce to such a foolhardy endeavor either... other than to help our trash-talking punk of a president save face.
In the wake of the Obama regime's perpetual vacillation, Rubio likened the situation now confronting the US to a football game in which we are
9 points down, with mere seconds left- but 'there's no such thing as a 9-point touchdown'
Worse yet, Assad falling could lead to just 'another civil war'... so in this former Syria hyper-hawk's view, there's simply no good alternatives for action remaining- Sen Rubio added: 'In foreign policy issues, timing matters'. As it is, 'Assad is using these weapons because he's trying to survive. ... I don't think three days worth of missile strikes is going to dissuade him from doing whatever it takes to survive in the future'.
And let me tell you this, my friends- the battle over the vote to grant Obama war powers in Syria will go down as a historic Waterloo for not just the Obammunists, but the utterly useless RINO squirrels right-along with him (on the wrong side of history)... they're all about to be utterly discredited and humiliated BIG TIME, as the American people simply
do not want this war:

Finger in the wind Rubio. John McCain will whisper in his ear later today and he’ll be back to being programmed.

“Finger in the wind Rubio.”
I suspect that’s right. He’s seen the polls that Americans overwhelmingly oppose another meddling action and, having been scorched on his amnesty push, is trying to back out the door.

This rat fink is a 2-faced GOP-e alright. Every time a poll comes up swaying against what he believes in, he bends over and covers his own ass.

There's something about Rubio. He's young, he has the problem of not having enough experience outside of FL before having to make major decisions in DC, and he's too hispanic in his world view to represent US citizens on the invasion of the US.
I think he really believes that "immigration reform" is good for the US. He listened to McCain and Shummer on that. But on this one? Maybe Rubio really was listening to the evidence (while McCain played poker). Maybe he did change his mind and is finally developing the courage to make sound decisions.
I'm still disgusted with his supporting the invasion of the US. But I don't think he's doing it for the same kinds of reasons McCain, Schumer, Flake, Ayotte etc are...personal gain for themselves and their sponsors. Rubio could rehabilitate himself if he goes on a listening tour, presses a reset button, and lets Rand, Cruz and the coalition they're developing take the lead. JMHO

Saw Rubio on Special Report last night and both 88 yr old father and I were screaming at him to shut UP about “mistakes made in the past” ...
An irrelevant smoke screen that shows he really has NO idea which way he plans to go...
God, he has been such a disappointment.....

Stop supporting the Rebels (AlQaeda)stop sending them weapons or money, and stay the hell out of there.
Withdraw our troops from Afghanistan and do not leave anything there that anyone can use for any purpose other than scrap metal.

Rubio’ll always be a non-starter with me. There was just too much he was claiming about the immigration reform plan that was obviously not true. And it was clear he knew it.

I disagree - I fully believe this is a political decision on Rubio’s part. I note that he is not questioning the idea that Assad ordered the chemical weapons strike, and he asserts that the Assad regime is getting its butt handed to it.
There is scant credible evidence of the former, and from what I understand (watching from afar), the Syrian government has been getting the upper hand. The only group that profits from the idea of Assad using chem weapons is the Al Qaeda front.
Rubio is a long way from showing he has learned anything, except for how to dance the Potomac two-step.
