Mark Levin: Obama plans to bypass Congress
Mark Levin Show 10/3/2013 ^ | 10-4-2013 | vanity

Posted on 10/04/2013 12:21:48 AM PDT by servo1969

Listened to the podcast of Mark Levin's show tonight(10/3/2013).
All of the following is Levin's take on the government shutdown.
There's no transcript so I'm going to do the best I can.

What is Obama's endgame?
The clue is in Obama's repeated use of the word 'default' in his recent interviews.
The Dems and Obama keep repeating the story that the Repubs are crazy.
That they have a 'gun to the head' of the country. That they are 'holding America hostage.'
Obama is setting up the idea that "I have no choice but to take matters into my own hands to save the country."
His plan is to push the shutdown until mid October when the debt ceiling will be reached.
He will then deliberately mix Authorization laws with Appropriation laws. The Senate will back him.
Americans are too ignorant of the law to understand the difference and the MSM will say Obama is doing the right thing.
He will then declare that it is his Constitutional duty to see that the nations bills are paid.
He will issue an Executive Order increasing the debt limit. He has no authority to do this.
It will be a blatantly impeachable offense but the Repubs will not be able to impeach him.
The Dems will back him as a solid unit and the Power of the Purse will be transferred to the Executive branch.
The MSM will say he is a hero. The Constitution will be irreparably shredded.
The system of Checks and Balances will no longer exist.
The Constitutional Republic will be destroyed.
He will fundamentally change the United States.

Here is a link to the podcast:

You will have to listen to a 1 minute ad and then the show will start.
The part I'm referring to begins at 30 mins in.
Make sure you are listening to the 10/3/2013 show.

Not much of a big step as he has already long since been bypassing the Constitution.

The truth is, the GOP basically works for the Obamatollah/Saudi regime.

For example: McCain, Lindsey, Boehner, Cantor.... and the rest openly help AL QAEDA and openly betray the USA every day of the week.

If the Saudis tell the GOP to fold on the debt ceiling, they will. I think they’ll say “Pretend to oppose Obamatollah to see how far he can override Congress (and the Constitution), and then we’ll tell you when to fold if necessary.”

Since the release of his latest book, Mark has pounded the fact that reform will not emerge from the people who profit so handsomely from the system they corrupted. He is right.

He postulated that if Obama assumes another power of congress and raises the debt limit, it might be the final straw to prod the states to call for an amendment convention.

I hope Hussein goes for it. He has horribly violated the constitution these past five years and should be held accountable by the House of Reps. If the House sits on its hands, there should be a groundswell of outrage directed toward an amendment convention.

It will mean freepers must switch gears, from devoting their sole attention to Washington, and direct more of it to their state rep and senator. It means work far and beyond ranting at FR.

One thing the average citizen can do is go Galt to the best of their ability to starve the beast

I did exactly that, on Sept 14th. It is great, the smartest thing I have ever done. Go Galt.

I was thinking along the same line. The USSC can convene in an emergency setting and rule that such actions are unconstitutional. This would have the effect of proclaiming Obama as a lawbreaker.

Such a USSC ruling would be the most important ruling on divided powers since Marbury vs. Madision.

Mark of the transcriber of Mark’s commentary is in error when it is said that the republicans cannot impeach Obama. They most certainly can.

The House impeaches, the Senate convicts.

The House can certainly impeach. However, it is not likely that the Senate will convict.

With a USSC ruling that confirms Obama as a lawbreaker and the House having impeached him and the Senate failing to convict, the scene will be set for a Senate takeover by conservatives in 2014.

I actually hope Obama will follow through on this tactic of raising the debt ceiling by EO. It will toss the whole crisis into the laps of the legal community who will know very well that Obama has overstepped his bounds, especially the academic legal community. The ensuing drama would be as intense and as fast as Bush vs. Gore 2000.

If Obama had another out, I think he would back down from bypassing Congress. But I don’t think he another out. And this is his make or break signature reform law, that opens the door to controlling Americans in unthinkable ways. This Obamacare law is designed among so many other things to make a democrat majority permanent and to control guns thereby setting the stage for setting the Constitution aside which is the true goal, to set it aside as a 18th and 19th century relic.

I fear that the GOP as part of the “good ol’ boys congress club” will have no stomach to sustain their stand, to man up and force barry to do same or impeach him.

Most of them are weak ego-ridden men who never faced a real crisis in their lives and think they are smarter and individually more important than they are. Their power is as a body, not a man. (who was it that said “Gentlemen, we must all hang together, or we shall hang separately”) They are not leaders, they are followers. Followers of nameless advisors, flatterers, straphangers, consultants, “polls” , and frightened angry or stupid constituents.

They make pleasant with and listen respectfully to peers such as Charles Rangel, Maxine Waters, Alcee Hastings, Louise Slaughter Henry Waxman etc etc etc. Men and women who ought to be shunned as stupid, venal hypocrites and mean small people unworthy of office. Even jailed. And everyone knows who.

They prefer to keep their heads down, keep their titles, staff, offices, franked mail, fresh flowers, dining privileges, parking places, VIP travel, cut rate shoe shines and haircuts and think this will pass in 3 years as all presidencies have done in the past.

and this is the GOP
the better of 2 dysfunctional political parties.

He can’t hide from the producers. National strike. One man cannot rule freedom lovers.

Everyone claims to love freedom. How many have gone on strike for it? They love their conveniences, their security, their creature comforts more.

There are people so lacking in motivation to stand on their own, they spend their entire lives in prison. They're released now and then and they haven't a clue how to make their own living, nor any desire to learn how. They find a way to go back in, where they'll get three squares and a cot, and where they'll know predictability and regularity.

Put that sort of people on a spectrum and then move your gaze a little to the right. If you look closely, there among millions will be someone you think you know.
