BREAKING: Why Are 8 Democrats Sponsoring A Bill to Eliminate the Death Penalty for Treason?
Conservative Angle ^ | December 30, 2013 | Staff

Posted on 12/31/2013 1:07:54 PM PST by IbJensen

(via The Hill) — Nearly a year ago, on January 2, 2012, eight Democrats in the House introduced a curious piece of legislation – H.R. 3741: Federal Death Penalty Abolition Act of 2013, which seeks to abolish the death penalty under federal law. But the bill has only just been discovered by the media, notably The Hill on Dec. 16, 2013:

Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) and seven other Democrats have proposed legislation that would eliminate the possibility of imposing the death penalty for a range of federal offenses, including several categories of murder and crimes against the government like treason and espionage.

The Federal Death Penalty Abolition Act, H.R. 3741, would end the death penalty for assassination or kidnapping that results in the death of the president or vice president, and also ends it for the murder of a member of Congress.

Under the bill, the death penalty could no longer be used to punish people for using a weapon of mass destruction, or murder done via torture, child abuse, war crimes, aircraft hijackings, sexual abuse, bank robberies or the willful wrecking of a train.

Using chemical or biological materials to kill could also no longer result in the death penalty, nor could deaths related to treason or espionage. The death or injury of an unborn child could not result in the death penalty either.

Death of state or local law enforcement officials, using the mail to kill, kidnapping and killing people to stop them from testifying could no longer lead to the death penalty, nor could the use of firearms or armor piercing ammunition during any crime of violence.

The legislation specifically prevents anyone from being sentenced to death or put to death for federal offenses after the bill becomes law. Anyone who was already sentenced to death for a federal crime prior to the bill taking effect would have that sentence reduced to a lifetime prison sentence without any possibility of parole.

Others sponsoring the bill are Reps. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), Keith Ellison (D-Minn.), Barbara Lee (D-Calif.), Hank Johnson (D-Ga.), John Lewis (D-Ga.), Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) and José Serrano (D-N.Y.).

The logical conclusion, therefore, is this:

HR 3741′s real objective is to eliminate the death penalty for TREASON because Democrats think Barack Hussein Obama may be arrested and tried for treason.

Like that fascinating impeachment email that the Democratic National Committee recently sent to its supporters, HR 3741 is motivated by the Democrats’ real fear that their idol, President Lucifer, is in serious trouble.

So much evil oozed out of that first term of the nobody from Kenya which should have thrown ice cold water on voters. When the second term rolled around the politically inept morons pulled his lever again. (In a nice way, I mean).

Why Congress sits on their hands and doesn't move an inch towards impeaching this cretin just escapes us.

I said it before for another thread. The republican congress does not have enough votes to impeach the FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT. They do not have the stones to do it.

And if they did there is the whole problem with the Dhimmicrat senate for a conviction that won’t even get out of commitee

Same reason Henry Kissinger got nervous when Britain arrested Augusto Pinochet when he was visiting London, on a warrant issued by Spain for crimes he committed in Chile, eight years after the end of his time in office as president of that country.

The dems want to keep them alive so they can continue voting multiple times for the dems. They can only vote once if they’re dead. Or maybe more. I’m not sure. But I am sure it has something to do with maintaining their voting base.

The unfortunate thing in this country is that the crimes committed while serving in the executive or legislative branches are rarely, if ever, prosecuted, even in the face of overwhelming evidence of their complicity in common criminality and even treasonous actions.

And Lord knows, the Democrats would have proceeded with criminal charges against Richard Nixon, if Gerald Ford had not pre-emptively pardoned him. A goodly number of the subordinates were rounded up and were treated as criminals in the aftermath.

Now when it looks as if the Current Occupant and most of his Regime may be subject to prosecution, they are looking for clemency in advance?

Why Congress sits on their hands and doesn't move an inch towards impeaching this cretin just escapes us.

It's actually pretty straight forward.

Go back to Hillary and the 900 Republican FBI files. They were successfully used for blackmail to shut up Republicans. Since that time the Dems have ramped up the espionage and blackmail against Republicans. Much of what you see daily in DC is choreographed theater between the Dems and Pubbies. No meaning, all show. John Roberts' ruling on OC is a prime example of the *fear* of opposing Obama's people.

Most of the Pubbies in congress are scared to do anything of substance.

The people that believe the 2014 (and 2016) elections are going to have any meaning at all are delusional.

There are few things done without a reason, one being the elimination of the 2 terms for a president that that loony RAT tries every year, but this is different.

For this, there is someone, somewhere who is scared sh*tless and thinks the GOP is going to take the Senate and increase their presence in the House during the '14 elections.

HR 3741′s real objective is to eliminate the death penalty for TREASON because Democrats think Barack Hussein Obama may be arrested and tried for treason.

I do not care what the penalty phase of such a trial would bring. I simply do not.

I DO care that this POS is arrested and tried and convicted of treason. Along with his enablers and advisors including Valerie Jarrett. That I care about very much.

"There won’t be a trial if it unfolds as I wish it does!"

There needs to be a documented indictment, trial, conviction, and sentencing before the convicted Demonrat traitors of the Obama regime are publicly hanged.

This is necessary so busloads of school children can learn about their responsibility to deal with similar Demonrat traitors when they become adults, as they are transported to the site where they can parade past and piss on the bloated corpses of the traitors.

Bambi is never going to be impeached, and even if he were to be impeached by the House, it would never go to removal from office. And he would never be honorable enough - like Nixon - to resign. So let’s not waste any more time on this.

I think this Dem move is meant mainly to protect “leakers” such as Snowden (a big gay Dem heart-throb) and possibly Obama when he renounces his citizenship, reveals that he has been passing all of our secrets to some African Muslim hell-hole, Michelle kicks him out of the house (because, odious as she is, she only wants the good life and she doesn’t want to wear a burqa), and he absconds to wherever he feels he might be most powerful.

I used to think this would be the UN, but maybe he has his eye on some other place. In any case, the Dems are just protecting their leakers.

Not necessarily. This would spare the Timothy McVeighs of the world as well. The simpler, more likely explanation is that these folks don't like the death penalty in principle.

This is a horribly misleading headline, first off, on a “when did you stop beating your wife” level. The bill would eliminate all federal death penalties, not just the ones for treason. The reasoning is simple - they’re anti-death penalty.

Love of the liberty that made our country. Without liberty the USA is just another socialist crap hole like most of Europe.

As far as I can tell, there are VERY few in DC willing to sacrifice anything for our nation and the principle of liberty. Least of all their lives.

Although they are quite amenable to sacrificing OUR liberty and lives to protect themselves from Democrat blackmail.

Obama To Betray Missile Defense Secrets To Moscow
Investor's Business Daily ^ | January 9, 2012 | IBD staff

Appeasement: From ObamaCare to recess appointments, honoring the Constitution has not been an administration hallmark. But when it comes to betraying secrets to mollify the Russians, it becomes a document the president hides behind.

It was bad enough that the 2012 defense authorization bill signed by President Obama set America on a downward spiral of military mediocrity.

He also issued a signing statement, something he once opposed, saying that language in the bill aimed at protecting top-secret technical data on the U.S. Standard Missile-3 — linchpin of our missile defense — might impinge on his constitutional foreign-policy authority.

Section 1227 of the defense law prohibits spending any funds that would be used to give Russian officials access to sensitive missile-defense technology as part of a cooperation agreement without first sending Congress a report identifying the specific secrets, how they'd be used and steps to protect the data from compromise.

The president is required to certify that any technology shared will not be passed on to third parties such as China, North Korea or Iran, that the Russians will not use transferred secrets to develop countermeasures and that the Russians are reciprocating in sharing missile-defense technology.
