Ohio National Guard Views Gun Rights Supporters as Terrorists

Apparently in the eyes of the Ohio National Guard, if you're a staunch defender of the US Constitution, you're an extremist and a domestic terrorist. That's the basic message that we can take away from a training exercise drill that took place in Portsmouth, Ohio on January 17, 2013. The Ohio National Guard ran a drill responding to a biological attack at a local junior high school. The nasty evildoers behind the fake attack? A janitor and science teacher who were fervent Second Amendment supporters and white supremacists to boot!

This is how our taxpayer dollars are spent in conducting drills against possible terrorist attacks. It can't be Islamic terrorists that are launching jihad. It can't be far-left eco-terrorists targeting businesses or testing laboratories. It's not like those groups are responsible for any acts of terrorism ever. (If you can't tell, I'm being incredibly sarcastic.) Nope. It's conservative Tea Party types who dare to think they have a Constitutional right to keep and bear arms. It's sad and pathetic to see such displays by our government towards law-abiding citizens. Conservatives are targeted again and again as bad guys, when we actually believe in obeying the law. The usual liberal tactic is applied as well in portraying conservatives as racist.

The local fire chief, Bill Raison, told the local media that the drill represented "the reality of the world we live in." Yep. Remember all those Tea Party rallies that became raging mobs that attacked police and vandalized businesses? Or when the Tea Party began raping women in the middle of their rallies? Oh, wait. That wasn't Tea Party conservatives that did those things. Those acts were committed by the far-left Occupy movement. Where's the mock drill where the Ohio National Guard has to go in to stop Occupiers from using biological or chemical agents against corporations?

What is sad is how the groups involved show absolutely no remorse over the drill. The Ohio National Guard says that the drill was created by the West Virginia National Guard, and then they refuse to comment any farther. Local representatives have not responded to any requests for their opinion. Yet, these same people are quick to apologize if they offend someone on the left. In a drill that focused on anti-fracking group, these entities issued an apology to environment groups the following day. It's been over a year since the drill featuring pro-Second Amendment supporters.

I find it incredibly distressing and downright scary that government forces are focusing on people who embrace the US Constitution as enemies of the state. Of course, in the eyes of progressive liberals that want to make all of us beholden to an all-powerful state, that's exactly what we are.

“Bonus Army” - remember them?

In that light, in what way should we be surprised about the scenario used by the ONG?

I guess the next Four Dead In Ohio will be tea partiers. The ONG started with college students, they will now graduate to legal gun owners.

The best way to counterattack this is to rewrite what they were doing to make the evil villains Black Panthers trying to start a race war, with the help of DHS, which had given them Glock .40s and ammo, but was denying it, saying it was stolen from their arsenal.

Imagine the firestorm. The Ohio National Guard rounding up relatives and family of the Black Panthers and putting them into FEMA camps, after the state shuts down all electronic welfare payments.

April Fools Day is just around the corner.

That's the key. In fact, IMHO, this is a cover story to hide the fact that this all came from DC on the Mahdi's orders.

In defense of the army troops (and not Dugout Doug) they did not kill any of the Bonus Army; that honor goes to the D.C. police. Major Eisenhower strongly advised MacArthur NOT to have any part in the fiasco as the Chief of Staff but Doug wouldn’t ever pass up a chance for publicity and self-aggrandizement. Many of the troops and the senior NCOs, junior officers refused to advance and shoot much less beat anyone. The D.C. police were under no such restrictions.

Reading other articles, it seems that previous similar exercise scenarios had muslims or left-wing groups as the the terrorists but were told (probably by DOD) that was inappropriate. Many times these scenarios are written as templates that state the general premises and requirements and the local exercise planners fill in the locality specific details. Having been involved with real and exercise scenarios back in the early 70s the perpetrators were anti-war protesters and hippies. We never thought too much about who they were, just preventing them from doing harm. Later, when I was involved in developing and running base exercises the “enemy” was frequently terrorists.

I think the OG as a whole is running a scenario pretty much set up for them.

In their defense the have to use either 2nd Amendment supporters or Christians as the terrorists. If the used real terrorist, you know like muslim the media and the Federal Government would jump all over them...

It's worse than RightWingPatriot describes by the response of the local fire chief, Bill Raison:

I made the comment below here http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/3122167/posts:

An exercise is one thing; it's the response to queries that is most worrisome, imho, plus actions mirroring IRS/Fed Agency targeting:

Ohio National Guard Training Envisions Right-Wing Terrorism

"Ohio National Guard Communications Director James Sims II suggested Media Trackers was “inferring” from the ONG document’s contents as opposed to “what’s actually in the report.”

After excerpts of the report were read to him, Sims said it was “not relevant” to understand why conservatives may feel unduly targeted by ONG’s training scenario."

"“Okay, I’m gonna stop ya there. I’m going to quit this conversation,” Sims concluded. “You have a good day.”"

Also notable in my link above:

"Throughout modern history, groups and individuals associated with left-wing causes have proven far more likely to commit acts of domestic terror."

"ONG’s 52nd Civil Support Unit participated in a similar drill involving left-wing terrorists with Athens County first responders last year; public officials apologized for that training the next day in response to complaints from local environmentalist groups."

This a prime example of why the term militia in the Second Amendment does not refer to the National Guard.

If this is an example of today's Army National Guard personnel then I would be afraid that the troops would not hesitate to fire on civilians, when they even have no respect for their dead.

Wisconsin Guard member suspended for posting offensive casket photo

By Meg Jones and Lydia Mulvany of the Journal Sentinel Feb. 18, 2014

A Wisconsin National Guard member who posted a picture showing soldiers goofing off while surrounding a casket during training for funeral honors details has been indefinitely suspended from the program that handles military funerals in Wisconsin.
