Former President Jimmy Carter said President Obama couldn’t have done anything to prevent Russian President Vladimir Putin from annexing Crimea.
“I think that was a foregone conclusion,” Carter said on MSNBC. “He was going to do it regardless of the consequences. I think now, that’s far enough.”
In comments Monday on "Morning Joe," Carter compared Obama's response to his own decisions at the White House in 1979, when he decided to boycott Moscow's Summer Olympics after the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan.

Let’s see...Iran and Saudi Arabia can become nuclear powers. Iraq can fall to al-Qaeda. We can pass “immigration reform.” All those manpads we let loose in our ill-considered and failed state building in Libya can be used to shoot down commercial airliners. Even more US soldiers can die because of criminally bad ROI. We could lose even more patriotic officers to Obama’s purges. That’s the short list. I’m sure there are other Freepers with the by-the-week-in-office lists.
He may be a much older Jimmy, but he's still sounds like the Jimmy I remember.
I used to be able to brag about how bad it was to graduate high school and step into the (un)employment world of Jimmy Carter's America.
But the kids graduating into today's obamanation just laugh at me through their tears.
