If the GOP is faced with a Trump nomination or a Cruz nomination, there is no question they’d rather lose to a Democrat because it would allow them to continue blaming Democrats for their own cowardice in doing what they’ve been promising us all for decades.
Probably. A Democrat doesn’t pose the threat to them that a non-establishment Republican nominee does.
We already have the answer to that question... just look at the nominees our party gave us in the last two presidential elections. Democrat-lite if you ask me.
They have done this in the past with Barry Goldwater and in local races all over the Country.
One word: YES.
Called it. The only reason mittwit is staying out of the GOPe primary is precisely to serve as a 3rd party spoiler.
At that time in 2008, and still even today, I believe it was John McCain’s and the GOPe’s unified intention to lose to whatever Democrat ran, giving us 0.
No doubt the GOPe is allied with the Democrats against true Conservatives. Republican leadership always manages to defend its “good friends” across the aisle, and instinctively attacks the GOP’s Conservative base.
Yes. They always say we have to support them for the greater good. But they never support us.
Of course they would prefer a democrap. Anyone from “the club” they can control is fine, just not a true representative elected by the people. That would blow the whole scam like Ronald Reagan did.
They wouldn’t be worried about a Carson or Cruz actually winning—their fear would be if Trump were the nominee.
Absolutely. The establishment has ruled without interruption since January 20, 1989.
Duh.
This is what it boils down to.
America we have this election, to get back control over our own country.
We need to be for American jobs and America growth. The person for these things appears to be Donald Trump.
He seems to be 100% for America. That is what counts.
Yes. Why else would they put out lackluster candidates like Dole, McCain, and Romney as the Establishment favorites. They prefer to remain in "opposition". If the Republicans actually controlled House, Senate, and Presidency, they would be held to account to actually accomplish things.
There are plenty of non- establishment Republicans (including a lot of Freepers) who have openly stated they’d rather see a Democrat than an establishment Republican win.
They rationalize that with a claim that a moderate republican would be “just as bad” as any democrat and/or a theory that electing a democrat will pave the way for a “true conservative” next time.
Both types who do this-GOPes and conservatives-are basically just sour graping.

Just ask Ken Cuccinelli in Virginia. He came very close to winning the governor’s race without any help whatsoever from the GOPe. With a modicum of support from his national party he would have had no problem getting over the top. Instead Virginia now has Hillary’s errand-boy McAuliffe running it into the ground.
The GOPe is just a branch of the Uni-Party, along with the Democrats. Conservatives tend to interfere with the gravy train, all those sweet donations and post-service jobs in lobbying and financial firms.
The Cheap Labor Express will not tolerate us electing anyone who would shut them down.
Their employees within the GOP will work with the Democrats to defeat any non-amnesty candidate.
