They attempt to hide their cowardice with the claim that self defense is irrational.
What is both ironic and hypicritical is the opponents of self defense spend their efforts in attacking people who disagree with them. Think about that for a minute.
As technology advances Britains civilian disarmament, once reversed, will put them in a great position for getting ahead in light saber distribution. We won’t have as much demand for light sabers as we will still have plenty of old fashioned shooters.

Light Sabers may be great at blocking single pullet or blaster attacks, however they cannot stop all the pellets from a sawed off shotgun!

It comes down to emotional rants that essentially state:

When the vast majority of their changes result in failure and disaster. The only reason the left has prospered in the 20th century was that the pace of technological innovation has kept them from quick, utter, and complete failure.
