PRESIDENT TRUMP SHOULD MOVE THE CAPITOL

Posted on 03/28/2016 8:50:42 PM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

Anyone wanting to stay in government can move. The political class will get cut off at the knees. Trump is a builder. It will get done cheap. Government will get smaller and all the establishment types-both gop & the rats-will get hit hard. That's what this country needs and this is the best way to do it. That's what they are all scared of.

Interesting (if mostly crazy) idea.

Next question: WHERE?

There’s no reason our Reps have to be in Washington so much with modern technology, they should have an office close to their constituents and do their business by telecommuting and voting from their home offices.

Better yet, require our Reps to cast their votes from their districts. It makes it harder on the DC lobbyists.

No, he does not need to move it. Just clean much of what Obama/Clinton installed, out.

Make each congressperson work out of their home districts and telecommute.

This way, they are surrounded by their constituents.

Also, it raises the costs of lobbying. K Street dies, but if you insist on lobbying at the fed level, you put up the big bucks of having an office in every damned congressional district in the country.

Then blow up Capitol Hill!

Las Vegas?

Or better yet, to save millions of dollars by outsourcing to 1/8th the cost with Chinese staff, relocate it to Jinglian City, Fujian Province, Red China, to follow the other Trump businesses that have been located from the USA there for cost arbitrage reasons. Global borderless business costs, profits over patriotism and all that stuff, you understand.

Implement strict term limits, a straight salary, and eliminate their perks, benefits, and pension package.

This might be a hugely unachievable dream - the bureaucracy is so dug in I cannot even believe Trump can undo it, let along make it smaller or move.

YES...I’ve said that for years...with technology there’s no reason our “representatives can’t be HOME except for a couple times a year, maybe. Lobbyists would freak.
