Once they blur all the distinctions, they can do anything, and justify it in their minds. And that is why the Left is always so violent when they are out of power, and why they control or try to control everything, when they are in power.
The problem with all Leftist arguments and debates on any position is that they completely blur any distinction between lawful and lawless, in an effort to confuse, distort, and force their position that since everyone is lawless in some way, no one is, and individualism still means everyone is the responsibility of everyone else, from each according to their wealth, to each according to their fair share.
Take the Second Amendment. There is no difference to the Leftist between a law abiding gun owner, and a mass murderer, because all gun owners are potentially mass murderers, they think, which is how they rationalize banning all guns and gun ownership ever incrementally.

Fundamentalists are unable to see the difference between a primary core issue and a lesser issue. They see all as priority, and are willing to do what it takes to get it done.
Leftists are simply fundamentalists advancing their leftist fundamental issues.

The difference between a Conservative and a Liberal is simple. A Conservative thinks and a Liberal feels.
I have NEVER seen a liberal/leftist hold THEMSELVES accountable for ANYTHING. This tells me that they don’t think at all.

Think of it this way, as I’ve understood it for about 40 years, conservatives have opponents, liberals have enemies.

This completely misses the point. Leftists don't care about crime or mass murderers in the least. The only thing they care about is total government (meaning them) control. The want to disarm us to remove the threat to their totalitarian schemes.
Because gun owners are for the most part a law abiding group, leftists haven't faced any consequences for their incessant attempts at total civilian disarmament. They think that this will change as they inflict ever more restrictions on personal liberty and want to make sure we have no recourse.
Leftists are genocidal maniacs. Whether they call themselves NAZIs, or communists, or progressives, or socialists, or Democrats, or ANTIFA, or any other label on any particular day, they intend to destroy and kill, to bring human civilization to a halt. This they have in common with islam.
I taught in the public schools for many years. Tell me all about how they think. Two words: Godless and Ruthless.

Correct. This is the key to understanding the left. The left used lies, envy, and hatred to get the emotions moving. Then the left uses theft and murder to get the leftist elite in power. We are at the beginning of the theft part.
