Could the Awan-Schultz Scandal Bring Down the Democratic Party?
TRUNEWS ^ | July 29, 2017 | Edward Szall

Posted on 07/30/2017 6:00:19 PM PDT by henbane

On Friday the Washington Free Beacon reported that leading members of the House Judiciary Committee and Government Oversight Committee are “interested” in conducting their own independent investigation into the reports of “illicit IT activity,” which could include asking for the on-record testimony of Rep. Wasserman Schultz.

"In addition to the criminal case that is now underway, Congress needs to get answers regarding the scope of Imran Awan's misconduct and the access he had to sensitive material in the United States House of Representatives, including why he remained on the House payroll for so long," Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), a member of the Government Oversight Committee and chair of its National Security Subcommittee said.

"The facts as we know them are very troubling and we need a full accounting of his time at both the DNC and the U.S. House," Rep. DeSantis said. "Congressional hearings are in order."

The problem is the Dims already talk as if the largess that's been passed as far as MCaid expansion and subsidies are PERMANENT, for them there's no going backward, only pushing for more.
And the GOPe gets bulldozed every time.
Put them all on “OCare” as Trump says, and start from there.

Sure it could. And an asteroid the size of Mars could hit earth, too. And I could win $500 million in the next Super Mega Galactic PowerBall.

Looks like we got the odds on our side this time.

In a sane world, they’d all be in jail. But in our world, nothing will happen. More shoe / pretend Congressional hearings, lots of fireworks and theatrics...then...NOTHING.

Not if ‘HATE’ media is successful in covering it up.

It is not the media that will cover it up, it will be Congress. People here keep posting Constitutional quotes and regulations. The law matters not one whit because these people always skate.

I guess we could pass a law that says it is illegal to break the law, that might help.

What has ever been the result of any congressional hearing?

YouTube soundbites are great campaign statements. Look at how many people Trey Goudy has destroyed on YouTube.

I will admit to watching a few of those and getting excited that maybe something would change.

But it never does. It’s just Kabuki Theater over and over again.

The CIA and the FBI are so f’ed up I don’t see how they could even begin to clean this up. The ISI on the other hand is expert at making people disappear. If members of the Awan family start disappearing it is the ISI not the CIA doing the work. By the way it is a bad week to be an Awan in Paki land. Not being sure whom to trust is taxing.

Thank you for the background info on Mark L. Wasserman. Political affiliation noted at Open Secrets indicates straight line “D” donations since 2006, however none for presidential candidates. http://www.opensecrets.org/donor-lookup/results?name=Mark+L.+Wasserman
