Bottom line. McCallum accepted an impossibly stupid mission. He got caught. And Trudeau and his government disavowed all knowledge of his involvement.
John McCallum did not resign, he was fired by Trudeau for being caught doing Trudeau’s bidding.
For Trudeau and the Liberals, it is all about winning this upcoming election and turning Asian-Ontario swing ridings to the Liberals and retaining existing Asian-dominated Liberal ridings.
That is why McCallum gave a 40-minute speech to only local Chinese-speaking newspapers in the Asian-dominated town of Markham about why McCallum and the Trudeau Liberals thought Meng Wanzhou, the Huawei CFO had a strong legal case against America’s extradition request for her to be removed to the U.S.

Foreign minister Freeland should have been fired for her personal femino-nazi warfare with Saudi Arabia, a masculo-centric nation.She cost Canada a billion dollars or more in jobs,investment and education based income.All this over a jailed ex patriot Saudi female journalist who could have been released via delicate diplomacy instead of grandstanding. The journalist is still behind bars, while Freeland struts her personal ideology like a cross-eyed Captain Bligh on a heaving quarterdeck. She should have been fired long ago, but then Canada’s dipsy-doodling PM would have to face the national femino-nazi backlash.So Freeland walks free to continue her sophomoric ways.
McCallum does not kow it, but he is done forever in Canada’s liberal fascist body politic, unless he switches his party affiliation to Conservative as an opposer, a far reach.
Canada might as well continue being run down the rabbit hole, governed by an assembly of the Queen of Hearts, the Mad Hatter and a Cheshire cat.
Virtue signal, lecture the alleged ignorant internationally, and ineffectually caterwaul at the Chinese. They do not even KNOW they are in a game of hardball in which no one really cares about their alleged virtue.
Trudeau and his minions have GOT to go, if anything, to simply relieve Canadians of their brute punishment of the people of Canada on open immigration, long gun registry, ideology over function of government and run away taxation.

We are underwhelmed.Thank God there is a general election this Spring. Justin can then resume his professional career as a drama teacher, in which he holds a degree.

Canada and the US have a cooperation agreement where they can arrest & extradite wanteds to the other country - that’s why Canada arrested the Huawei woman back in December.
McCallum is Canada’s Chinese Ambassador; by saying she “probably” will go free, he sent the message that Trudeau doesn’t really want her extradited.
For speaking that truth, he got fired. Now the question is whether all this has prejudiced the extradition hearings, and just how much of an ally Trudeau really wants to be.
and dont forget he’s canadian. Canada is important to America similar to chewed bubble at the bottom of your shoe.
I read something awhile ago (please don’t ask me where), it said that Trudeau’s father specified in his will that Justin not get his inheritance until he was forty-five and we Canadians gave him a whole country before he was forty three.

The FBI wants to hurt Trump by having their Deep State allies in Canada to arrest the Chinese Meng Wanzhou, the Huawei CFO, and make it look like Trump gave the order. She has family ties to the Chinese rulers. They are really pissed about this treatment. All to get China upset at Trump. The FBI would like nothing better to trigger a war between the USA and China and pin in on Trump.
