At some point in mid-January, a mouse found his way into my house. This isn't an unusual occurrence. Over the past ten years I've dealt with mice on at least five occasions, including one in which an entire family set up housekeeping behind the kitchen counters. So I know a thing or two about catching mice. Namely, you spot one, set a trap, and wait for the inevitable. It never fails, or so I thought.

What? Don’t they know their job?
Amazing ... the Lazarus Rat! (Did you notice another pair of beady eyes in the background, just as he’s crawling away.)

Yep. And they tell all of their friends.

Maybe the smell of the glue or smell of you handling the bait had something to do with it. I have had some luck with the ultrasonic devices that plug into a wall outlet.
I talked to a guy that took 22 shorts and cut the bullet off at the end of the brass to shoot mice. He said missed he sometimes left a dent in the baseboard.
Lol! Too well fed? I wonder if they even brought the mouse in!
You are right! About 8:22. But technically, Lazarus and this rat could be called a resuscitation.
Perhaps, but I thought of this early on and used latex gloves when handling the traps!
Some people trapping muskrats would boil the traps before setting them out. I know when using poison for rats at a chicken farm you can not use the same poison in two adjacent hen houses but have to alternate.

Try Victor Electronic rat trap. It works great on mice. Another option is Tin Cat. Both are at Home Depot.
