The public perception problems for Joe Biden are growing. He’s not all there, as is obvious from his disastrous livestreams and TV interviews, and has all but disappeared during the Wuhan coronavirus crisis.
A just-released ABC News / Washington Post poll reveals another problem, one that comes as no surprise: Democrats are not enthsiastic about Biden, even as he racks up delegates and appears headed to the nomination.
Biden has only bare majority (51%) support among Democrats, and a 24% enthusiasm gap in a match up against Trump.

One of the NBC news nitwits covering the campaign did an informal survey outside a Bernie Sanders rally just before the New Hampshire primary in February. As people were entering or leaving the rally she asked a random assortment of them this question: "If Bernie Sanders isn't the nominee, which candidate would you support?"
What she was really trying to do was find out which of all the other Democratic candidates still in the race these people preferred if Bernie wasn't in the race.
To her surprise, the most common answer she got was: "DONALD TRUMP."
I doubt this is true, but I can see a fair number of Bernie supporters not voting this year. So, in a sense, they would be voting for Trump. Only snag is most of the Bernie supporters have an equally strong dislike of Trump. And if the DEM party convinces them that the negative impact to their lives because of COVID-19 was mostly Trump’s fault, they may not abandon the party.
The media can come up with all the hysterical lies they want.
Trump is still going to win.
Like McCain and Romney, Slow Joe is a dead man walking.
I think the odds are right now that Biden is not going to be the Dim nominee. It’s becoming obvious that he is deteriorating mentally.

It seems to me, many options are possible, from pressure to drop out, be replaced by another candidate, to a brokered convention, to bribery, to assassination.
There are many things that "could be done", although most are unlikely or less than preferable.
