Former New York Times reporter Alex Berenson continues to slay the corrupt, panic-mongering news media on a daily basis. On Sunday, he latched onto an absurd, hypocritical story in the Washington Post which pretends to lament the fact that an enormous number of ventilators mass-produced by U.S. companies during the media-induced panic of March through May ended up going unused and now are sitting in a federal stockpile.

The ethics-devoid news media in this country has been mainly responsible for creating the panicked atmosphere and insane response to this viral gift from China. Media outlets like the WaPo, the NYTimes, CNN and MSNBC thrive on panic and crisis and do everything they can to create new crises out of whole cloth based on the thinnest of reeds. Their entire business models in fact rely on a constant level of unrest and panic among the population.
They are a clear and present danger to our nation’s survival. No wonder an honest journalist like Berenson can no longer work for the New York Times, given you have to be willing to sell your soul to do so.

Probably have seals that deteriorate or some other perishable thing that will cause them to be useless if needed.

Yep, at first in the beginning all anybody, who care, heard was there was a huge shortage of ventilators and it was Trumps fault. Now it’s being told that we over produced and this is doubtless Trumps fault. go figure
Cuomo went on a tirade about the need for 40,000 ventilators.
He said this, and then off-handedly mentioned they had 16,000 in storage unused.
It took 2 days for the media to come back around and as about the discrepancy.
In any event, Cuomo got his 40,000 ventilators. Turns out, 80% of the people put on a ventilator for Covid dies. There is not only zero evidence they help, you could make an argument they actually harmed more people than they saved. There is no double-blind placebo controlled trial showing that they help anybody at all.
Ventilators, that’s gospel. But everything else is “anecdotal”.
The problem with constant hype and fear porn is people become desensitized to it...then there is something to be concerned with and people will tune it out.

Trump told Cuomo he was talking nonsense. Nobody needed 40,000 ventilators. Cuomo got far less than 40,000 from Trump, and he still couldn't even use what he got.
Trump turned out to be right as usual.
The media is our enemy within.
They truly hate this country but love what it gives back to them. Sorry POS.
Well he was talking nonsense. The larger point is he got everything he needed and much more to spare. 3000 beds at Javitz, a hospital ship, and the DPA to deliver all the ventilators he could need.
The bigger point than that is that the ventilators are of seemingly little to negativ, value to a seriously ill covid patient. But while the media pounces on Trump’s call for HCQ+, they don’t even question Cuomo’s dubious claims.

Well, we were told it was Trump’s fault, but the truth is that Obama was the one who depleted the reserve supplies and didn’t replenish them.
I’ll bet you President Trump has already looked at all of the emergency reserve supplies for everything else now, and has those things taken care of, too.
Obama was the most selfish President we’ve ever had. Always blamed others whenever he was at fault.
This is what I think happened re: those ventilators.
After Cuomo said he needed 40,000 ventilators, Trump was able to get companies to make them...all 40,000. Then Cuomo said he was wrong, he did not need that many.
So Trump found other states that needed the over flow of ventilators. Not only that, but Trump found out other countries needed them too. So as a good jesture and “diplomat”, he started giving them away to these countries. These countries now love our President Trump and our USA.
I bet that makes the Left so mad.
Sounds about right. I am so tired of all the hatred coming from the left. We got hit with a virus nobody ever saw before, nobody knew anything about... Trump unleashed the private sector in every possible way - including and especially with regard to loosening up testing requirements and of course the DPA.
To be fair, nobody not even Cuomo knew how many ventilators would be “needed”. This was all based on projections. They projected 2 million would die. They don’t go back and ‘fact check’ their own BS. They don’t ‘fact check’ whether the Asia ban was ‘xenophobia’ or if it actually saved lives. This mad dash for a vaccine is, frankly, insanity. Never before has a drug been developed and deployed in such time because we have to test long term safety. We’ll see what comes of it. Meanwhile there is anecdotal evidence that a 100 year old tuberculosis vaccine may greatly reduce viral load and viral spread - the western world phased it out but other countries still use it and have better outcomes.
They don’t even want an investigation into the idiocy of Cuomo’s nursing home policy - essentially banning all outside visitors to protect the elderly (which made sense) but then explicitly contravening it by ordering covid-positive elderly into the nursing homes! It is so illogical and contradictory, and the fact they are stonewalling the investigation, I’d think it has to do with corruption and money.
