If only it were true. – The National Review went around the bend five years ago with its decision to push rank propaganda in opposition to the presidential campaign of Donald Trump, but every once in a great while it still publishes a piece worth reading. This morning is one of those rare cases.
The Editors at TNR published a piece late yesterday titled “Anthony Fauci Has Worn Out His Welcome,” whose title is self-explanatory to some extent, although stopping short of exactly which audiences the Little Menace to Society has worn out his welcome with. It’s an interesting thought for those who, like me, have been quite skeptical of Fauci’s true motives almost since Day 1 of this pandemic created by China. But is it accurate? We’ll talk about that in a moment.

First, here’s an excerpt from the TNR piece:
Fauci doesn’t write or establish the quarantine policies being enforced by cities and states; he can only advise other people in and out of government. But his voice carries a lot of weight, and, more or less willingly, he has become the face of America’s quarantine policies. Frustratingly, his perspective always seem to be that the right time to open up is another six weeks from now, no matter how low caseloads get or how much the national vaccination program accelerates.
And it’s hard to shake the sense that Fauci makes recommendations based on how he thinks people will react. Fauci admitted in December that he had changed his assessments about herd immunity, based on what he thought the public could handle hearing. In the pandemic’s early days, Fauci tended to cite the same 60 to 70 percent estimate that most experts did, but Fauci gradually boosted it to 85 percent. In an interview with the New York Times’ Donald McNeil Jr., Fauci “acknowledged that he had slowly but deliberately been moving the goal posts. He is doing so, he said, partly based on new science, and partly on his gut feeling that the country is finally ready to hear what he really thinks.”
At the beginning of March, Fauci forcefully criticized the state of Texas for ending its mandatory mask order, declaring “It’s risky and could set us back to a place that’s even worse than where we are now . . . and lead to additional surges.” And yet, Texas has seen its caseload continue to decline. When asked about the lack of an increase in that state, he answered, “You know, there are a lot of things that go into that. I mean, when you say that they’ve had a lot of the activity on the outside like ball games, I’m not really quite sure. It could be they’re doing things outdoors.
Earlier this month, after GOP lawmakers asked Fauci about the risk of outbreaks in migrant detention facilities, he said, “I have nothing to do with the border. . . . Having me down at the border, that’s really not what I do.” Except Fauci has weighed in on travel restrictions and border closures plenty of times in the past year. It’s self-evidently obvious that having lots of migrants of all ages cramped into detention facilities is a formula for a rapid spread of the virus. Fauci just didn’t want to criticize the Biden administration, so he dodged the question.

All of that is true, but does it really mean that Fauci has “worn out his welcome”? And if so, with which of his many audiences has his welcome been terminated? It’s a question the editors at TNR fail to explore, and that’s too bad. If they had, the might have chosen a different title for their piece.
Certainly, Fauci has worn out his welcome with the editors at TNR – that’s obvious from the headline of the story. I’d suspect he’s also worn out his welcome with many, if not most of TNR’s readers, who taken altogether might – MIGHT – represent one half of 1% of the population of this country.
The Little Menace certainly wore out his welcome long ago with anyone interested in things like intellectual honesty, logic, science and truth. But of course, that would exclude 98% of the corrupt propaganda media in this country, so the Little Menace remains quite welcome on corrupt propaganda operations like CNN and MSNBC, and all the various alphabet legacy networks.
But what about the average person on the street out there in the vast expanse of the United States of America? What about that 95% of the population who never really pays much attention to anything, that segment of society that never seems to know who the vice president happens to be, and which spends far more time checking their Facebook status or making idiotic Tik Tok videos than they do paying any attention to what Anthony Fauci has to say about COVID?
Has the Little Menace worn out his welcome with those folks? Or with the leftist nitwits who make up 90% of the audiences of CNN and MSNBC? Or with the Perpetual Outrage Mob that infests Twitter and other social media platforms? mmmmmmmmm…probably not. Hell, Fauci spends most of his time actually preaching to those lunatics and providing them with their daily talking, er, screaming points.
Finally, and most importantly, has the Little Menace worn out his welcome with China Joe or the Amazing Disappearing Kamala or all those tinpot despot Democrat governors who still have their states in lockdown and still force their people to wear masks that even Fauci has admitted don’t do a bit of good? You’re kidding, right? Fauci literally created all of those people, gave them their illegitimate power through his influence on this pandemic.
Those Democrats all love Fauci. Worship him, in fact – he has literally taken his place as one of that party’s many false idols at this point. The only way he can wear out his welcome with them is when he no longer serves a political purpose for them.
Sorry, TNR editors, that day certainly has not arrived. Get back to us when it does.

When he stops appearing on TV, in magazines, on podcasts etc, multiple times PER DAY, that’s when he’s worn out his welcome. Right now, he get more media requests than The Kardashions.
