Save Independence Day. It is clear to me that the left has embarked on a campaign to reduce Independence Day to nothing more than a meaningless "holiday". The push is to elevate Juneteenth to a holiday that is more meaningful. Over the last week I have noticed a concerted effort in the media to downplay Independence Day. Even a lot of conservative people are referring to it as the Fourth of July. Push back against this movement and only refer to it as Independence Day. Remember, those that control the language control the battle sphere.
I will beef and processed “meat”, get sunburned, and watch Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum, and Randy Quaid save the Earth…
I’m ALL IN for Juneteenth being a special day. THAT day being June 19 1953 to be specific. Special day for Julius and Ethel Rosenberg. Good Riddance Traitors!!

I agree that we need to keep calling it Independence Day, so that the significance of it not be forgotten. It’s worth fighting for.

weather.gov had the 19th as juneteenth on the forecast page, not Father’s Day but has this coming Monday as Monday not Independence Day

Julyteenth! America’s REAL freedom day. Don’t accept cheap imitations created by a demented, creepy old honky pedophile. You can throw Juneteenth in the dumpster with Kwanzaa. It’s not an American holiday. It’s an African holiday. Independence Day is for ALL Americans.
I called this earlier this year that they would try to get rid of 4th independence day.

As usual grassroots activity is the best way for us to preserve Independence Day.
In our area we are not allowed even “safe and sane”’fireworks. The occasional fireworks show has been cancelled lately”due to Covid.” When they do have it, it is usually obscured by fog anyway.
Our parades are infiltrated by homo floats and etc.
So have a patriotic real event of your own or go to one. A two block long parade with no freak displays is better than the alternative. Fly your flag. Go to the next county and set off your fireworks. Etc. yahoo doray
The Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH), which is used by almost all libraries in the US to organize their collections lists the holiday as “Fourth of July” rather than “Independence Day.” So if you are looking for a library book on the holiday, you will get better results if you type “Fourth of July” in “the search box. If you type “Independence Day” in the search box, you will probably retrieve titles on holidays that celebrate the independence of Congo Kinshasa, Jamaica, Malaysia, etc.

My thought, drop the “pride” and go with just “Patriot Month.”
