Despite the U.S. publicly declaring an end to arms supplies to Ukraine, recent events indicate a continued influx of military aid from NATO allies. A plane carrying ammunition from the United States landed in Rzeszow, contradicting official statements. British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s surprise visit to Kyiv resulted in the announcement of a substantial £2.5 billion military aid package for Ukraine, with a significant portion earmarked for drones. Concurrently, President Zelensky secures additional military commitments from NATO allies, showcasing ongoing international support for Ukraine.

I suspect this is a constellation of 1) corruption, 2) marketing for the media headlines, and 3) an overt political attempt to pry more money from the US.

Despite the U.S. publicly declaring an end to arms supplies to Ukraine

The US declared there is no US funds to ship US weapons - they said nothing about other country’s shipping their own weapons.

“Despite the U.S. publicly declaring an end to arms supplies to Ukraine”

Fulfilling existing and outstanding appropriations for arms is to be expected. No one called for a freeze on all exports.

“The fools are de-militarizing their countries.”

Not at all. The Ukrainians are getting our castoff materiel. They haven’t received even one new weapons platform. Not one. They’re so far just getting things that had already been retired from active service or else slated for disposal/destruction.

Yet for some reason the Democrats and Republicans want the taxpayer to pay for these things as if they were new.

US ammunition running 'perilously low' from Biden's efforts to arm Ukraine, military strategist warns

Ret. Lt. Col. Darin Gaub said it may take decades to recover from all the ammunition provided to fight Russia

"Through my sources, I am being told that it's going to take us 10 to 15 years to recover from everything we've shipped over there," Gaub stated, adding the U.S. is "running perilously low on ammunition" and is behind in manufacturing 155 mm artillery shells and other systems.

However, some U.S. inventories are reaching the minimum levels needed for war plans and training.

I guess. Bt how much ammunition can be carried on an airplane? Enough to influence the "war"?

And who sent it? Someone in the executive branch of our government?

(No debate here, just askin'.)

I don't know why we're supporting Zelensky. Staying freed from Russia, yes. Sustaining a dictatorship? Maybe, but not a communist, socialist, or Godless philosophy? No.

It doesn’t state who sent it, but my guess would be the Pentagon at the request of the Executive Branch. Who that might be is anyone’s guess, but I honestly doubt that Biden is making any decisions.

Ukraine is just as much at fault for this conflict, but that aside. We can no longer be the policeman of the world. In fact, we never should have taken on that role to begin with, but things have changed considerably when we agreed to take on that role, and all it has provided was the destruction of this nation as we took on the world's problems while ignoring our own.

We are now financially insolvent, we no longer have the advantage with regards to weapons systems, and our infrastructure is crumbling, while our society has grown rotten & perverted to its core..

Putin’s bad Karma for bombing Ukraine’s utilities. Maybe the Karma will get really bad and these conditions promote revolt by the Russian people, or at least in some of the areas where the minority populations’ men are being slaughtered in his vicious “meat waves.”

Millions of Russian citizens are experiencing loss of heating and/or electricity across numerous Russian cities as temperatures this winter continue to drop. Neither Russia nor Ukraine are currently able to move the front lines as both sides are now fighting a war of attrition. Governor Chris Christie has dropped out of the Republican primary leaving Ambassador Nikki Haley as the last remaining Republican candidate for President who supports military aid for Ukraine.

Naw, the whole story is pure nonsense.

Nobody has said they've stopped all shipments to Ukraine.

Some have said certain legal authorizations have been used up, but others are still in effect.

I'd be nearly certain that ways will always be found to emergency resupply critical air-defense ammunition.

Kazan quoting Fox article from July 10: "US ammunition running 'perilously low' from Biden's efforts to arm Ukraine, military strategist warns"

But a second Kazan linked-report from September 16 tells us this:

The bottom line is that the US will get all the war materials production that it seriously demands, the only problem being the whole Western world is also gearing up to support Ukraine, and the day will come when manufacturers are stuck with all their new production equipment and no orders to fill.
That's what was holding them back.

Today we hear less about this problem, so potentially some of those concerns have been addressed.
