I AM stupid. I made a fool of myself trying to talk politics with a proud, self righteous, liberal at my part time job yesterday. I just started my lunch break and this guy was in our break room yaking with the other employees on their breaks. He was supposed to be working, he was not on break. I was tired, stressed out, had a sinus headache, and ended up trying to talk over his loud mouth in front of several other employees. Even though he is stupid I made myself look more stupid and thereby my cause stupid also. Several of the other employees he was talking to are young and anti-Bush (he himself is in his early 20's). I don't always remember facts well and don't have time to research facts because I work 2 jobs. Last night, Saturday, I printed off 6 pages from a link I found on an FR thread. The article is titled "Bill Clinton's true legacy to America. 1993-Attack on the World Trade Center." from republicanandproud.com. Bill Clintoon's legacy is what I was arguing about. If he isn't willing to research the truth in the first place I don't want to scare him off with 6 pages of reading, even if it is large print. I don't consider myself a Republican, I consider myself a conservative. I think it would be too much to ask someone like him to read something associated with republicans, even if it is true. Those people need to take baby steps. Theirs is a problem of immaturity, not just ideology(sp).
