I posted an article by Bob Novak from the Chicago SUN Times regarding plans for this administration to pull our troops out of Iraq somethime during 2005 time frame.
Within less then a minute it was dropped from forum. In my statements I made it clear I was a conservative republican and had no alterative agenda other then to post the article to get opinions etc..
If this action represents the quality and so claimed forthright position at this site, then perhaps I was mistaken. That action set off in my mind that this was something CBS would do! Finally, I follow military end of Iraq since I have a nephew still In Iraq with the Marines SEMPER FI, and I was somewhat aware that the DOD all along has been saying we probably will not go beyond 2005. So why was some monitor or editor of this what appears to be an honest site so quick on removing my article post? best regards all....GWB must be re-elected.
If you'd search, you'd realize it was a duplicate. We told you so when we pulled the thread
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1221709/posts
there were two threads on the same article. take it easy, the mods do a good job here. would you prefer Dan Rather?
?
Keep a thick skin, my man.
Dan Rather Admin. Hehehehehe
Simple reason: already posted more than once
Would you please post those guidelines for newbies you posted recently?
I don't remember the title, nor the proper keywords to search and post it.
I am disappointed, too. Ed McMahon hadn't left a check for me by the time I got home.
The search feature is your friend. We don't need duplicate threads. And guess what else? Your vanity thread is not breaking news so this probably will be moved. And welcome to Free Republic. Put on your pajamas and join the rest of us.

Some of us have been here many years, and take for granted knowledge that newcomers like yourself may have to painfully buy.
Be of good cheer, and welcome to Fort Free Republic, bane of The Liberal Media. :-)
Usually, the moderators will give a reason for pulling a thread. I see above that that's what the Admin Moderator is saying to you. Usually, it's because a proper search wasn't conducted to see if it was already posted. Don't use "keyword" search. Always search your term for "title by date."
Every time (well, maybe every time but one subjective time) my threads have been pulled it's been for a valid, objective reason.
Sorry. It all happened so fast, was a blur on the screen.
That is, I was trying to respond with a reply and a screen popped up, saying something an then disapered, along with the obviousely both postings. I won't bother reposting.
If Novak was doing honest reporting of facts we all will see like articles in the weeks to come.
I appreciate the response given.
take care all.

God bless your nephew and grant you a thicker skin. :-}
Probably a more judicious use of the "Breaking News" sidebar would hasten endearing yourself to the Moderators too. Just some friendly advice.
It's because it has already been posted several times, my friend.
Enjoy your thread.
Thanks. I didn't even see this one, but it's good.
What is the key word" "Moderators Lecture Series" -- something like that, but that's not it, I couldn't get the keyword right. You have a lot of good educational information there.
Marine Uncle, please see link in post 15.
