My neighbor's dog brought home a human skull, what

Posted on 09/27/2004 12:19:18 PM PDT by jilley

should I do? We live out in the country and the dog brought it home a few weeks ago. She says she wants to keep it for decoration and it is now stuck on her fence post. When I take her the paper every day, it creeps me out. Her dog is always leaving deer horns in my yard also, so it must be out there killing deer and breaking their horns off.

Here was my theory posted earlier about how the dog just miiiiight have found a monkey skull that, amazingly enough, looks remarkably like a human skull:

Also, just where is a dog going to locate an indigenous source for giant monkey skulls in the US???

I know! I know!! The monkey escaped from a travelling circus and got lost in the country near Jilley's neighbor's home. Since there weren't any bananas growing in the wild, the monkey died, and the dog found the skull and brought it home. Yeah, that's the ticket!

Dog Discovers Human Skull

LAST UPDATE: 9/27/2004 11:36:28 PM

A dog made a gruesome discovery in a south side field on Monday morning.

While combing the woods, the dog came across a human skull.

It happened off off South Presa Street, near the A G E Refinery.

Employees at the jet fuel refinery tell News 4 WOAI they have several security dogs who always comb the woods looking for animals. But on Monday, one of those dogs found parts of a human body.

"I mean, I have never seen a live human skull like that before, so it was pretty shocking," said Chris Besinaiz.

The dog came out of the woods with a skull in its mouth and caught the attention of a plant supervisor.

Police then tracked down the rest of the remains in a wooded area near the A G E Refinery.

"It made me sick. I felt kind of weird looking at it. I had never seen that before," said Ernest Chavez.

Police combed the woods and searched by air for any clues.

They're hoping to find some teeth in the field that could help them identify the person through dental regards. Otherwise, they don't have much to go on.

"We have scattered human remains. That's about all we know right now. We have no idea about the age, the sex or anything like that at this point," said Detective April Titus.

So for now, all police have is some scattered bones, while some employees are left with some disturbing memories.

"I just feel sorry for the person, and its family, that that person belonged to," said Besinaiz.

Police say the remains have been left in the field for several months, and they aren't sure they'll ever be able to make a positive ID.

I think it was dead.

...and lock your doors and windows, your neighbor is crazy, and may be a serial killer. Or, if your neighbor is a vegetarian, a cereal killer.

It's terrifically declasse to display a skull that you did not remove from the owner yourself.

People have no taste any more.

When I was young all the heads on pikes in the gardens were harvested by either the family or close friends.

Stags drop their horns each year.

The dog likes the way they smell.

Have you been in the country long?

...her husband up and left her 10 years ago.

Please don't take this wrong, but has he been seen since?

I saved one thread, 5 years ago, that was probably going to end up being one of the all time funniest until it was yanked.

It still needs some formatting work, I just copied from my browser and pasted it in notepad.
